I met with doctors from the @OntariosDoctors to discuss ways to make family medicine more attractive, including how we can compensate work thatβs essential to patient care, but currently not billable under OHIP. We also spoke about the need for a centralized referral system and a single, shared electronic medical records platform.
Thank you to the OMA for facilitating this visit, and to these doctors for the great conversation!
What an honour to have been able to read @JDeoWrites's second novel - amazingly well written, captivating story that I had to read in a single weekend. Preorder now: https://t.co/rZuGjEfxJc
πWeβre kind of a big dealπ.
βWeβre the fastest treating regional stroke centre in Ontario because we rely on and trust everyone to take charge on their turf without hesitation,β says stroke neurologist Dr. Al Jin.

@VDoTweets at #ICAM2024 highlighting data showing physicians and learners are not well - this impacts ability to provide good care - and a need to address systems level issues and culture changes
Honoured to receive this recognition from @UHKF - and so glad to see the care we provide @KingstonHSC being appreciated this much! Thankful to work as part of a great team π
Congratulations to Dr. Durafourt, Dr. Nanji, Dr. Piliotis and Dr. Brown who were all recognized by Honour Your Caregiver!

The @cityofkingston spent so much money on this intersection- but crossing it with my kids is terrifying because of the speeds on JCB. Glad to see and definitely need more enforcement here @KingstonPolice@MIHomeYGK
Guess who just got someone doing 85 in the 50 zone at John Counter Blvd and Old Mill? π
Will see what else we get and if a stunt driver could be in our future (doing 90 km/hr or more in a 50 zone).
As one of many people on call @KingstonHSC this weekend, here's hoping that those at Homecoming gatherings are responsible and respectful of the #ygk community in which they live!
IMPORTANT: With a second weekend of unsanctioned Homecoming celebrations expected in #ygk, KHSC has put plans in place to support increased patient demand. However, weβre urging everyone to reconsider attending as these events put additional strain on hospital resources.π§΅π
