I misspelled Kim Ahern’s last name in my post the other night. That was a mistake - I noted the correction in a comment below it when someone pointed it out to me - and I take responsibility for that and apologize. The right thing to do when you misspell someone’s name is to apologize and make a correction.

The right thing to do, when you deliberately attempt to mislead voters by presenting a participation trophy as an endorsement in a paid political advertisement, is to take it down.

This is only the latest in a long list of things Kim Ahern has either misled voters about or failed to take responsibility for.

And that is particularly concerning for a candidate who wants to be our state’s Attorney General, because the public must be able to trust the AG to enforce laws. @kathyprojo

Rhode Islanders: Can someone explain the pitch for Kim Ahern? As a prosecutor a judge found her “sloppy, misguided, and cavalier.” She’s been a key member of McKee’s exhaustively incompetent administration. Then she chaired the Cannabis Commission, which has been straight up corrupt. And as a landlord she violated the laws that protections from lead poisoning that the AG is charged with enforcing. How is this not an absolute train wreck waiting to happen?

Ahearn should take this down, it’s brazenly dishonest to voters as presented. It’s a ceremonial plaque, and constructing a paid ad like this is really misleading in a political context. What @AhernForAG is doing is wrong, because it’s wrong to mislead voters.
