"Love You" VS "I Love You"

A few years ago, I started noticing people shortening the sentiment "I Love You" to just "Love You" - from both my own personal messages from family members as well as messages from others to others. Heck, I used to do the same thing, but I caught myself one day and started wondering why I had been omitting "I" from my shares of sentiment. The omission of "I" from these sentiments seems to be an indication of something lacking within an individual, and I would argue - as James True often makes a compelling case for - that it would indicate a lack of Ego: a lack of self-love, self-worth, and self-respect.

Ego is demonized in modern times, and its meaning is almost entirely thought of within the zombie-zeitgeist as a negative concept. I think "Ego" and "Pride" are often conflated with "Arrogance" and "Inconsideration". After all, Ego and Pride seem to go hand-in-hand, and Pride is the popular and commonly-accepted translation of one of the seven "deadly" sins posed by, according to "history", Pope Gregory I some 1400 years ago.

First of all, "Sin" is merely a hunting term which means "to miss the mark", and in my opinion sinning does not eternally condemn an individual to some negative "Hel(l)" after passing from this realm. If you disagree because of your current cosmological beliefs, more power to you - I think you'll need it.

Second, I think the seeming conflation of Ego and Pride with Arrogance and Inconsideration has done a terrible service, not only to the commonly-comprehended meaning of those two words but also to individuals who associate those two words with being "bad" and who subsequently avoid them - both in concept and in practice. If an individual believes it is bad to prioritize theirself and their own well-being over others and others' well-being, that individual will eventually deplete theirself into oblivion and have no energy left - either for theirself OR for directing towards and sharing with others.

Having such a lack of self-love, self-worth, self-respect, and energy overall will also lead an individual to choose to outsource their responsibility to others, rather than choosing to take responsibility for their own actions - including thinking, reasoning, and intuiting. I think it's apparent what can and will happen when the majority of individuals within a given society outsource their respective responsibilities to others, and I think the strikingly-similar reactions of many (perhaps most) individuals to the "CoV-ID" narrative over the past 14+ months has made that abundantly clear. (Best Apocalypse Ever!)

Ego is inextricably tied to the Heart, and I find it intriguing that both words are anagrams ascribed to this realm we live in: "Geo" and "Earth/Terah". "Home is where the Heart is", and Earth/Terah is certainly our home in this realm. The Heart is also inextricably tied to the energy most commonly referred to as Love. It is not a leap, therefore, to consider Ego inextricably tied to Love - specifically Love directed from oneself. The more Love an individual has for theirself, the more self-worth and self-respect that individual will have, and the more Love and energy that individual will be capable of sharing with others through various lenses: compassion, friendship, romance, intimacy, parenthood, brotherhood, mentorship, et cetera.

If, like me, you've ever used "Love You" instead of having used "I Love You": consider switching your stance, unashamedly loving yourself more, and proudly exclaiming "I Love You!" instead of weakly whispering "Love You" when you share such sentiments with others in the future. I could be "sinning", but I think your Ego and Spirit will be thankful for your doing so, and I think your Entirety will become stronger as a result.
