Two weeks ago I was admitted into the hospital with a GI bleed. over the next 6 days I had a blood transfusion, Iron infusion, verious medications to stop the bleeding, and endoscopy, a colonoscopy, to CT scans, and a biopsy.

Yestedray I received a call confirming the mass found in my colon was cancerous and a surgery has been scheduled for next friday.

I have a surgeon assigned to me, approximately anyother 4-5 days in the hospital, an oncology consultation, and recovery support.

And because Recovery can take up to 6 weeks, I have a job protected leave of absence and will receive Employment Insurance payments during that time.

Total payments: $0.00

I know things can be rough if your medical situation is not life critical, but what I am going through would likely bankrupt me in the US.

I wouldn't trade this for anywhere else.
