How is this any better? It’s a cure designed to present an outbreak, why would you treat that lightly? Also the outbreak spread pretty close to the start of Bryan’s route implying that the city has already been taken, no matter what Cregger says.

If someone said they were adapting anything from a franchise I would sanely assume that the first entry would be the respected one lore and narrative wise. Not that it would be lifted 1:1 but that it would be the bible for the story being told.

The thing with Resident Evil in general, is that there's 30 games in 30 years, therefore different entry points, causing RE fans to have very different interpretations of what RE "means to them," from VERY different minds and that's ok so stop fighting omg???

The ending is a Ryan Johnson level “subversion” that actively tells you that watching this film was a huge waste of time. Sad endings can happen and be great but this was worse. This was a pointless ending that renders everything prior to it irrelevant.

The girl in the house is meant to be a surprise but because the camera can’t see her mutated leg neither can Bryan which makes no sense. When he does see he throws all logic out of the window and tries to help her up, leading to him getting bite, thus leading to the worst outcome
