Not a T-Mobile customer, but this whole thing feels like the Seinfeld Car Reservation bit. Just replace “reservation” with “contract” and it works so well.
@deaflibertarian I never took a water bottle to school (born in ‘91). We used drinking fountains and drank whatever mom sent in our lunch. We did not need, nor did anyone recommend, constant access to water. I have no idea how this became a thing.
@ChoochSkookum The cheap tools are sufficient for 95% of jobs. Let them learn how to recognize that 5% and save their money until they actually need to tackle it.
@unifiedprolife Ya know, it doesn’t help that the younger generations have spent years arguing with anyone on Reddit that dares call a neighborhood in their Urban Area of Choice “unsafe” just to virtue signal their anti-racism.
C’mon, if it’s so safe, go for it! It’s a great deal!
@trashavocado@SlopHq Yes, actually. Our history is littered with cases where we absolutely could have chosen to make law enforcement’s job easier to do, but intentionally chose not to in the name of protecting our rights.
So… I live 2 minutes from one of the original two (pre-national expansion, and since closed) locations in Wood Dale, IL.
The original model was per-game, not timed. A “game” was a bucket of 20 balls, and originally cost about $3.50. By the time it closed, it was up to $7.00.
The place was considered expensive by driving range standards, but it kicked ass. It was a range with cool tech and full service food/bev to your bay. You could stay as long as your wallet could support, the food was better than basic bar slop, and most importantly… the place was always packed. If you went on a Friday or Saturday in the summer, you expected a 2 hour wait for a bay. They had a mini golf course next to the parking lot that you could use for free while you waited (or pay like $5 any other time).
Service was almost always great, too.
What happened was over-expansion and General inshitification. Investors ruined it.
@Avis I was inappropriately charged for fuel after returning my rental. DM me, I’ll send you my receipt and we can discuss the lack of transparency in your return process. Or I’ll just dispute the CC charge and never rent from you again, your call.
@GrindLinePod It’s like asking why someone in California didn’t bid on property in Florida. Sure, I guess they could have, but they kinda have to be in on the discussion. Big assumptions here that the Wings are on anyone’s lists or even a part of certain players conversations.
@allie__voss The funny thing is, you can thank the same group of people that keep pushing for more mandated affordable housing in suburbs and gentrification projects in cities for the stigma. “Trailer trash”, “MAGA”, “hicks” all come to mind.
