Early take: GPT5.6 Sol is great, but goes overboard if you have any kind of โreview this and fix findingsโ workflow. It did a bunch of architecture improvements completely unprompted, burned $300 of tokens
Fable/opus seems much better at getting the intent of what I ask for.
I'm thrilled to release CodeAlta - one of the first efficient AI coding-agent TUIs built entirely in C#/.NET ๐
I've been developing and using it daily for the past 3 months, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! ๐ค
Retweets are highly appreciated! ๐
CodeAlta brings you a beautiful, colorful timeline interface, multiple threads in the same workspace, a real prompt editor experience, quick file viewing/editing with syntax highlighting, in-app model provider configuration, a multi-agent-ready environment, and much more! โจ
@housecor I was in the room, my answer had less to do with AI and more to do with routine layoffs across the board
The ZIRP days are way behind us, still a good gig if you can get your foot in the door though
@jamonholmgren Cool! How do you prevent the claude cli from exiting during the work loop? Eg what keeps it rolling at 2 AM if it thinks it's all done or gets stuck?
@gabegreenberg I lived in Nairobi from 2001-2008, changed my life forever for sure. I never take clean water, electricity, safety, healthcare for granted anymore. We had dial-up internet at home, sometimes.
I want to go back but haven't been since 2010.
@ab_kader_@shanselman This is also my setup in combination with copilot CLI for some things. VS code + copilot + Claude as daily driver, canโt be beat..
