🚨 25 NEW GEORGIA LAWS EVERY GEORGIAN SHOULD KNOW 🚨

Most people have no idea how much Georgia law changed this year. These are the 25 new laws that will affect the most Georgians.

INCOME TAX CUT (HB 111) – Georgia’s flat income tax rate drops to 4.99%.

NEW CHILD TAX CREDIT (HB 136) – Up to a $250 state tax credit for each qualifying child under age six.

BIGGER CHILD CARE TAX CREDIT (HB 136) – Georgia increased the state credit from 30% to 50% of the federal credit.

PROPERTY TAX RELIEF (HB 112) – Many homeowners qualify for a $500 property tax rebate.

HOPE SCHOLARSHIP (HB 19) – HOPE now covers 100% of standard tuition at eligible public colleges.

K-8 CELLPHONE BAN (HB 340) – Students must keep personal electronic devices put away during the school day.

BIOLOGICAL SEX PROTECTIONS (SB 1) – Georgia law governs school sports, locker rooms and restrooms based on biological sex.

TOUGHER FENTANYL PENALTIES (HB 535) – Stronger penalties for traffickers pushing one of America’s deadliest drugs.

SQUATTER REFORM – Property owners have stronger tools to remove unauthorized occupants.

MEDICAL CANNABIS (SB 220) – Expanded patient access and additional qualifying conditions.

CRYPTO ATM PROTECTIONS (HB 945) – New safeguards to help stop cryptocurrency scams.

ELDER FRAUD PROTECTION (HB 945) – Banks may delay suspicious transactions targeting seniors.

HOA TRANSPARENCY (HB 313) – Homeowners gain greater access to HOA records and finances.

RENTAL APPLICATION REFORM – Limits on certain fees and refunds for some denied applicants.

OUT-OF-STATE LANDLORDS (HB 399) – Must appoint a Georgia contact or property manager.

STORAGE UNIT PROTECTIONS (HB 131) – More notice before your property can be auctioned.

IMPORTED SHRIMP DISCLOSURE (HB 117) – Restaurants must tell you if the shrimp isn’t domestic.

HOME-BAKED GOODS (HB 398) – More homemade baked goods can be sold directly to consumers.

SERVICE DOG FRAUD (HB 668) – Tougher penalties for fake service animals. Emotional support animals are not service animals under Georgia law.

DIGITAL DRIVER’S LICENSES (HB 296) – Digital IDs are now recognized in many situations.

STREET RACING CRACKDOWN (SB 10) – Tougher penalties for racers, organizers and some spectators.

FALSE BOMB THREATS (SB 421) – Up to 15 years in prison for making a false bomb threat.

CHILDCARE BACKGROUND CHECKS (HB 175) – Stronger screening requirements to better protect children.

DISABLED VETERAN LICENSE PLATES (HB 208) – Eligible disabled veterans receive two additional free plates.

FAIR PAY FOR WORKERS WITH DISABILITIES (SB 55) – Georgia ended the practice of paying certain workers less than minimum wage under special certificates.

There is a reason God put it there.

Before a man steals what is yours, he first convinces himself he deserves it. Before government confiscates what you built, politicians first teach your neighbor to resent you for having it.

That is the poison at the heart of socialism: covetousness dressed up as compassion.

Loving your neighbor means wanting him to prosper. It does NOT mean looking across the fence, counting what he has, and demanding government take some of it for you.

A free nation cannot survive when envy replaces virtue, government replaces God, and citizens are taught that someone else’s success is their injustice.

The road to tyranny begins with a simple lie:

“You deserve what your neighbor has.”

God already warned us about that one.

TAKE YOUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN TO SEE YOUNG WASHINGTON.

They need to know the real story of the man who would become the Father of our Country. George Washington survived battles when men fell all around him, had horses shot from under him and bullets tear through his coat, yet he walked away. I believe God divinely protected George Washington because He had a purpose for his life.

Divine Providence set in motion the founding of this great nation. Our children need to know that story.

Take them. Teach them. Make sure they understand the price that was paid for the freedom they inherited. If we don’t teach our children to love America and understand her history, someone else will teach them to hate it.
