Some books announce themselves. This one would rather earn you.
Solara — Book One of the Eclipse Cycle — arrives this fall. Until then I'll be here, building the world out loud, one signal at a time.
The prologue's already at https://t.co/8CKCwQgbDw. Free, for anyone who'd rather not wait.
Is this timeline a bit aspirational? Almost certainly, yes. Very cool though, I hope they succeed.
》Very short term of necessity we'll continue using chemical rockets for getting around the Solar System.
》Medium term (a decade or so), we'll start using nuclear propulsion in a meaningful way.
》Medium to long term, fusion propulsion is the way. The sooner the better.

Star Wars: Heir to the Empire (Book 1 of the original Thrawn Trilogy)
Author: Timothy Zahn
The color theory used here leaps off the screen and lands straight in my heart. Fun time to be alive with all the various artists pushing, yearning, and dreaming ahead.
📝 Writing can feel like a solo climb, but you’re not scaling the mountain alone.
In 2024, over 1 million self-published books hit the shelves. Each one represents the author's grit, passion, and hustle.
We're a community whether anyone on the outside believes it or not. And in our own way, we overcome the hurdles of the indie writing world together! ✍️
@JELinfoot What do you consider too much reader fatigue when combining two pov's scenes into one chapter?
I have a few beasts near 7 or 8 k words that do 2 and sometimes 4 povs.
@SaveStargateHQ When O'Neill shoots Skaara who has the Goa'uld in him. Or really any scene with him blasting whatever random thing he was fighting.
O'Neill to me is the male Buffy with the quips minus the super powers.
@NathanTheAuthor I like the we code to music and video. That is near your lane. Have something similar here just no ai agent to talk to or video.
Love the future.
@MapEffects Astrid shouldered through the branches, hair stuck to her throat, and slipped behind a fir. Palm to bark, she counted ten while watching the upper trail. The things would be beyond the Aschen peaks by now. Following her scent. She moved on, the smoke still a thumbnail smudge.
@AirlockOpen@ScriptTrooper It was inevitable that Disney would scrap the EU as those at the helm were not fans of the IP.
So many great stories by authors who loved the source material live in many a bookstore. Still, fondly sought.
I never cared about their politics left or right. Just the stories.
