I stood on Liberty Island and was reminded that the Statue of Liberty is more than a landmark. She is a declaration.
She does not celebrate comfort. She celebrates freedom.
She does not promise equal outcomes. She represents equal opportunity.
She does not stand for what government can give us. She stands for what free people can build when they are trusted to pursue their own future.
For nearly 140 years, she has welcomed dreamers, builders, risk-takers, and people willing to work for something better. That idea is what made America exceptional, and it is worth protecting.
Sometimes I wonder if we have forgotten what she actually symbolizes.
Standing there, I was reminded that liberty is never something to take for granted. Every generation has a responsibility to preserve it for the next.
What does Lady Liberty represent to you?
@GuntherEagleman We are the owners and not subordinate to the machines. Naming it should enforce that order. I say we name it Computerized Intelligence.
@GuntherEagleman@grok Zero real jobs. Millions of government adjacent ones through the fraud mills, the billing mills, the “community partners” Democrats spent decades refusing to audit.
The world is a little less bright today.
Dolly Parton didn’t just sing songs. She gave people a home in her voice and a place that was kind, honest, funny, and full of heart. From a one-room cabin in the Smoky Mountains she became one of the most beloved artists who ever lived, and she never forgot where she came from.
She wrote the songs that carried us through love, heartbreak, work, and hope. She built something lasting for children who needed books. She made millions of people feel seen.
Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the laughter, and the example of a life lived with generosity.
We will always love you.
Rest in peace. 🦋
@RepChipRoy This should not even be controversial.
America has one Constitution. One body of law. No competing legal system gets a foothold here.
You are free to practice your religion.
You are not free to replace American law with it.
Pass it now! 🇺🇸
I’ve watched this pattern for decades.
Engineering gets reduced to a spreadsheet. Someone discovers cheaper labor, calls it “scale,” and starts replacing experience with headcount.
Then the systems get harder to change, defects get harder to reason about, nobody owns the architecture, and the people who understood why things were built a certain way are gone.
The problem is pretending engineering is fungible labor. You can outsource typing code. You cannot outsource engineering judgment.
“The government needs that money” is precisely the problem.
It’s our money. Government doesn’t have some superior claim to it because it has grown accustomed to spending it.
Given a choice between homeowners keeping more of their own money and government keeping it because politicians say they “need” it?
Not even a question. Cut the tax.
America is not a fucking side gig.
If someone sits in the United States Congress, there should be exactly zero ambiguity about which country gets their allegiance.
And with the unresolved questions surrounding Omar’s immigration and marital history, I want every legitimate allegation fully investigated.
She needs stripped of American citizenship, removed from Congress, and deported immediately.
America First has to actually mean something. 🇺🇸
@GuntherEagleman@grok 🚨 BREAKING: AOC freezes her eggs.
Democrats immediately demand an investigation:
How did doctors determine which reproductive organ produced them without first asking its pronouns? 😂
I literally said it isn’t fast enough.
Scale matters, and 2,000 a day clearly won’t solve a problem measured in the millions. Manpower, detention capacity, courts, transportation, and cooperation all constrain throughput.
“Not nearly fast enough” and “nothing is happening” are not the same claim.
Push for more. I am. Just don’t bullshit about what is actually happening.
I’d take a thousand Hispanic Christians who love America over one jihadist who wants to destroy it. No argument there.
But immigration enforcement and counterterrorism are separate responsibilities. Do both. Aggressively.
Enforcing immigration law doesn’t somehow prevent the government from hunting down actual threats to the country.
The interesting question isn’t whether Hitler was a “socialist” because the party had Socialist in its name. That’s historically lazy.
The interesting question is why we insist every authoritarian ideology must fit neatly on a modern American left-right line.
Nazis subordinated the individual, property, markets, labor, and industry to the objectives of the state while simultaneously crushing Marxists and communists.
Maybe the more useful axis isn’t left vs. right. It’s individual liberty vs. state power.
And on that axis, totalitarians always seem to find each other.
“Our work continues.”
Good Lord. You sound like Biden and Harris. Same empty Washington filler, different jersey.
Republicans have the Senate and the House. The SAVE America Act still isn’t law. Then you left town for recess.
We don’t need another fucking status update, Senator. We need results.
Stop telling America the work continues and start explaining why the hell it hasn’t been finished.
Radical Islam is getting louder. The DSA is stacking election wins. Congress leaves town for recess without passing the SAVE America Act.
And you’re posting emojis and cheering on sports.
Read the fucking room, Senator.
The Left is organizing, winning elections, and advancing its agenda while Republicans keep acting like spectators.
We didn’t elect you to react to what’s happening to this country. We elected you to fucking stop it.
An imam in an American city allegedly calls for the deaths of Jews, Christians, and Americans, and Ted Cruz gives us 😬.
You’re a United States Senator, not a reaction account.
Condemn it. Investigate it. Use the authority entrusted to you.
We didn’t elect you to emote about this shit. We elected you to stop it.
