Cardiomyocyte spare respiratory capacity (SRC) is maintained by a mitochondrial protein called ROMO1.
Our study shows that the loss of ROMO1 prevents cardiac hypertrophic growth and that this loss of ROMO1 contributes to worsening heart failure.
