Saw my 1st hummingbird of 2022 today! Hung the feeder yesterday and one appeared in the window just now. Feeling a bit guilty for not hanging sooner, but didn’t think hummers arrived until May.

@MassTransitLady @Amtrak @MassTransitLady I also love the leg room on @Amtrak, but had real problems using the WiFi on my Cary = DC trip (trains 92 up/79 return) in November. Had visions of getting work done, but it was so slow it was unusable. Seems to be a recurring problem.

@RaleighReporter Oh yes. If you are a SC United Methodist you are probably very familiar. Pineapple casserole often made an appearance at covered dish suppers. Pineapple, white cheddar cheese, and sugar covered with a Ritz cracker crust. Weird but good. My kids won't have T-giving w/out it.

Visiting Arlington, VA this weekend, I came across a very cool learning loop for young cyclists. Right on the W&OD trail, it's great for families teaching their little ones to bike for the first time. Would love to see one in @TownofCary. @RaleighBikeLady @MassTransitLady

@LoudTristero My bus (301) was indefinitely suspended as well due to driver shortages. I miss my bus, but I'm glad that people who have been underpaid in the past have the ability to demand better treatment. Raise driver pay. Make a 6 hr shift full-time w/benefits. Improve working conditions!

I would very much like to have an mRNA shot NOW, but at this point my state won't allow me to. It looks like the J&J alone is only 33% effective agains the delta variant and my employer is expecting me to return to the bldg. in August. It's quite concerning.

The Town of Cary, in cooperation with Citrix Cycle, is offering bike rentals at Bond Park this Saturday & Sunday, July 10 and 11, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Take a ride in the shade, park hop, or pedal to lunch! Rentals are $2 for the first hour, and $2 for each additional half hour.
