Best advice I got in my 20s: Nobody cares. When you’re winning, nobody cares. When you’re losing, nobody cares. Stop fearing the judgement of people who were never even thinking about you. Nobody is thinking about you. They’re too busy thinking about themselves. Go do the thing.
The Chancellor says that we all 'have to do our bit' - but what are we 'doing our bit' for?
A ballooning welfare bill. Billions on asylum seekers. Public services which seem to get worse every year. No hope of growth. And yet taxes go up.
The British people deserve better.
Just look at the contrast between Sadiq Khan’s post after the Notting Hill carnival vs the Unite the Kingdom rally.
Based on his post, you would never guess that Notting Hill carnival had 20 times more arrests and two stabbings.
Whether you agreed with him or not, Charlie Kirk is dead purely because some people didn't like what he had to say. That should outrage every single one of us.
How can these ministers possibly understand the brief if they're shifted around departments after a year in the job? They can't. It's a mammoth task to start with, particularly when they have no real experience in the area they're supposedly running.
It makes NO difference.
The civil servants run the show. I've seen it, through meetings with ministers. It's all on the busy body bureaucrats. They know, they decide. The 'minister' is just a puppet.
Wouldn't it be a mad idea to have a business secretary who has actually run a business? A health secretary who had some experience in a hospital? A farming minister who has done some work on a farm? No? Instead it's just random career politicians, who have scratched the right back.
Even in Westminster, MPs with genuine experience are just ignored unless they're wearing the right colour rosette. What's the point in Parliament?
Our entire political system is broken.
It rewards loyalty over competence, party over country, obedience over ability.
We all suffer because of it.
Poor quality MPs lead to poor quality ministers which leads to poor quality government - entirely incapable of holding the civil service to account, and that's really the primary goal of any minister.
We need to overhaul how the British people are governed, because this is not working. And it hasn't for a very long time...
The British people should be unashamedly proud of what we had as a nation, and fiercely optimistic about what we can be once again.
We were great, and we will be great again.
We can, and we must, Restore Britain.
If somebody attacks you, you should have every legal right to protect yourself and your family.
An Englishman's home is his castle. You should be entitled to defend it.
@RestoreBritain_
In Britain, we now jail the likes of Lucy Connolly for dumb, incendiary social media posts (that she deleted), but 1000s chant about killing people at a major music festival, live on our publicly funded broadcaster, and nobody seems to care. Outrageous double standard.
Non-stun/halal slaughter isn't farming, it's torture.
Freedom of belief does not mean freedom to inflict a cruel and brutal death upon millions of animals. It is un-British.
We should ban halal slaughter, and we should ban kosher slaughter.
My contribution in Parliament today.
This is excruciating to watch. Labour MP Alex Ballinger REFUSES to admit the full £30bn cost of the Chagos surrender deal.
They can't help it—Lying is part of Labour's DNA. They're treating the public with contempt.
@CamillaTominey was not having ANY of it!
