The real two-tier scandal in the UK is the relentless double standard approach of a media which lets one party leader get away with financial dodgery that would drive them into a frenzy if it involved someone their billionaire owners didn’t want in power because they believed in things like fairness and equality
Well said Stephen Roberts, an actual police expert who knows what he is talking about, for calling out the despicable attempt by @Nigel_Farage to exploit this for his own ends. Now have the ludicrous @ZiaYusufUK talking absolute drivel attacking the BBC
How noble of Mr Farage to lend his voice to the Henry Nowak debate.
Strange then that he couldn’t be bothered to attend today's Commons statement by Shabana Mahmood on the Nowak case(ordered by the Speaker after the killer's sentencing & bodycam release)🤔
Lord Grade is not right. He is a political hack who paraded as an independent chair. Can I ask @ofcom whether his views represent @ofcom policy? Ps I see Farage being freely quoted again without yet answering any questions about his money.
Not a Labour Party member, but this is not bad in less than 2 years. Suggest Labour MPs, party members and wannabe leaders get a grip and do their stuff.
Angela Rayner - £40k underpaid stamp duty - repaid. Lost jobs in Cabinet and Dep. PM.
Peter Murrell - £400k theft from SNP - going to prison
Huge coverage of both
Nigel Farage - £5m undeclared bung (possibly more) - goes to ground for a month.
Media coverage? You judge.
I seem to remember the BBC telling me back in the day, when the polls were good for Labour, that their guidelines prevented “reporting of single polls as news items in their own right.”
Seems to have changed if a single poll is good news for Reform! And to think that the consequence of all their favours and flattery will be to help elect a party committed to destroying them. Weird
First Matt Badloss in Gorton and Denton and now this absolute clown. Not sure Reform could run a country when they have such an issue with candidate selection
Robert Jenrick under investigation.
Nigel Farage under investigation.
Richard Tice dodging taxes.
Where are the so-called media? @BethRigby@Peston@bbclaurak@ChrisMasonBBC
There would be breaking news reports every 15 mins had it been Zack Polanski or Keir Starmer.
So, If I've understood correctly, a Prime Minister doing a cracking job, must resign, because he's not brilliant at telling people what a cracking job he's doing? Let it sink in, just how much bullshit the UK media is feeding the public. Dog shit. #starmermuststay
The corruption is hiding in plain sight. As we discuss on this week’s @RestIsPolitics …. I don’t think there is any doubt Trump is the most corrupt YS president. He may well be going for the world title too. Suharto and Marcos and Putin watch out!!
Inflation “unexpectedly” fell by 0.5% to 2.8%
Growth was an “unexpected” 0.7% - the highest in the G7
Net immigration “unexpectedly” fell by 82%
NHS “unexpectedly” met it’s interim 18 week target
Our media have so deceived the public that all positive news is now “unexpected”
Tories such as Braverman, Jenrick, Kruger, Tice and Dorries need to apologise to the nation for not doing something in 14 years which could be done in under 2.
They all need to resign
Imagine if a candidate of any other party was found to have deleted an account with so many disgustingly offensive posts. I suspect we will hear very little of this as the Double Standards Squad continue to ply their trade to the benefit of the 5 million pound man
Angela Rayner was dragged through every front page for weeks...
HMRC's verdict: NOT deliberate. NOT even careless.
Farage pockets £5 million and chooses not to declare it
So where's the wall-to-wall coverage?
Tell me this isn't a rigged game.
Have just quickly scanned @BethRigby tweets from the last day or so.
Tweets about Starmer being under pressure / MPs calling for him to go: 53
Tweets about Nigel Farage not declaring a £5m ‘gift’ from foreign businessman: 1
How’s that for independent journalism?
