Pretty appalling considering junior doctors’ real wages have decreased by upwards of 20% since 2008. And that this increase doesn’t even touch the 9% inflation this year.

The government have given NHS workers ANOTHER real-terms pay cut and are calling it a ‘pay rise’ 😮🚨

If you think NHS workers deserve a pay rise, please RT this+follow me. I’m a doctor, I run @EveryDoctorUK and we’re working out how to respond. Thank you so much!Ju💙

Junior doctors at #JDConf22 have just voted to campaign for full pay restoration, after years of real terms pay cuts. #OverworkedUnderpaid

Spent some chatting with a patient after wrapping up my shift. Interesting narrative of growing up in the war. Am I the only one that likes to listen to patients talk? #MedTwitter #juniordoc

Resolution ES-11/1 adopted.

@AkbaniUmair Who can blame doctors for leaving the profession in search of greener pastures? Switching to better hours/potentially better remuneration is just scratching the surface!

Too little, too late

Londongrad just took a direct hit. Or did it?

Look at the measures that the government has announced.

Here’s a quick guide

We must nurture positive things. Positive emotions are really a benefit to yourself and others. Warmheartedness and a sense of responsibility clearly have an important role in modern society, in every field. Training can make a difference, so we need to plan a better education.

Had to discuss patient’s unexpected death with NOK. Struggled to find the right words to convey condolences, so apologised and stood there. Are there phrases that people use in such situations that sound empathetic and genuine? #MedTwitter #juniordoctor

Happiness can just refer to the pleasure we find on a sensory level, but real happiness is related to peace of mind. If we have a calm mind, fear and suspicion are reduced. Fear is a major source of unhappiness
