Conservatives: If you stand in front of a car it should be allowed to run you over
Also conservatives: If an unidentified agent of the state stands in front of your car, he should be allowed to shoot you to death
From @gelliottmorris:
"The Democratic advantage for the midterms is not built on voters who like the Democratic Party, but on those who call themselves independents and can’t stand either one."

I have the courage to say what no politician will: If we're going to have property tax relief for any cohort by age it should be for those under age 35
All incentives should be explicitly age gated to EXCLUDE seniors
Researchers noticed a strange pattern: major life shifts often happen not after years of therapy, but after a single strong travel experience. People come back from a trip and suddenly quit jobs, end relationships, change cities, or finally start something they postponed for years.
A psychologist explained: "Travel breaks the illusion that your current life is the only possible one." Therapy works with words, travel works with direct experience.
They want you to believe your voice doesn't matter.
Yet in just the last few days:
-LAPD canceled its Flock contract.
-Meta cancelled Muse Image AI after privacy outrage.
-One of the largest planned U.S. data centers was killed (PW Digital Gateway) by local opposition.
The surveillance state isn't inevitable.
It advances when people are apathetic.
It retreats when people fight back.
Public pressure works. Keep pushing.
Americans forget that it’s the duty of the government to provide a prosperous society for us to live in. They owe us clean water, safe communities, funded schools, healthy food, universal healthcare, reliable public transport, etc.
That’s not entitlement, that’s the baseline.
Police in Houston, Texas, are panicking and have started an immediate investigation as citizens continue to destroy Flock cameras across the city.
The police are struggling to make a single arrest because nobody in the city is assisting them with the investigation.
"Public distaste for the cameras is growing nationwide."
A better way to look at the results of the primary than “far right/far left” is that people are tired of their gov’t moving too slow to fix problems, or outright getting in the way.
Across the ballot, voters chose fighters who preach effectiveness + getting shit done.
I said to this dude at spybar last night “ayoo it’s 7-11 free slurpees” and he said “what?” and I said “it’s July 11th… free slurpees” and he said “man, free everybody”
He's building a massive WH bunker, firing election officials, demanding voter rolls, and wants to create a permanent way to block access to the WH. If I was a conspiratorial sort, I'd be connecting some dots that don't end well for democracy.
Whenever I get depressed that we’re never getting out of this, I think about Ukraine dismantling the almighty Russian bear.
If they can do that, the vast majority of Americans can kick out Trump’s sadistic, corrupt regime—one way or the other.
Long Live America
