Remarks by ARF Western U.S Central Committee Chair Garo Madenlian at the Orange County May 28th Celebration, which also Marked the 25th Anniversary of the OC Armenian Center.
Today marks the 33rd Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Artsakh, a nation built on the steadfast ideals of democracy. Despite its noble foundation, Artsakh has faced relentless violence and threats of genocide, enduring unimaginable hardships at the hands of the genocidal Aliyev dictatorship. Over 120,000 of its citizens have been forcibly displaced, uprooted from their homes and lives.
The ANCA-WR, alongside all its chapters, stands resolute, tirelessly working to correct this grave injustice and hold those responsible to account. The spirit of Artsakh endures, and our collective efforts are a testament to the unbreakable will of the Armenian People.
Police are beating up people in the streets for days now.
Prominent clergy are joining in with the resistance.
Ver Media has made zero posts covering the number one topic in Armenia—the anti-Pashinyan protests.
This is because they’re a ruling party mouthpiece unconcerned with the interests of the nation.

@inanosum Restore the military, appoint a chief of general staff, begin the nation-army concept proposed in 2016. Drive government investment towards weaponary produced in Armenia and sold globally: Build relations with nations hostile to Turkey and Azerbaijan. Strengthen ties with Russia.
Not sure if Azerbaijan thought this pro-war PR was going to win the hearts & minds of the int'l community - but plastering your flag around the world in celebration of a war you started (and perpetrated egregious war crimes during) doesn't exactly scream 'peace-loving democracy.'
Today, Shushi is illegally occupied by Azerbaijan. Our people are still experiencing Azerbaijan’s pursuit of ethnic-cleansing. The churches that stood on our soils are defaced. The homes of our people are in piles of rubble. The Armenians of Shushi have been virulently displaced.
Six months after the ceasefire agreement Azerbaijan is still holding up to 200 Armenian POWs. World "leaders" say they are "concerned" and "appeal" for their release. But where is the action? The pressure? #FreeArmenianPOWs
