FEDERAL FUNDING & LOCAL PROJECTS
Hilton Head Island Airport: Awarded LEO Reimbursement funding through TSA to help sustain law enforcement presence at the airport, supported by the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office. We wrote a letter of support.

BCDCOG: We wrote a letter of support for a Federal Transit Administration grant to replace the region's bus fleet with ten low-emission hybrid-electric buses, improving connectivity to the Charleston Medical District and supporting the future Lowcountry Rapid Transit project.

Charleston Customs House: We connected the City of Charleston with GSA to clarify the acquisition process for the historic Customs House, which the city plans to open for public use.

Detyens Shipyard: We set up a meeting between Detyens Shipyard and USTR to discuss domestic portal cranes for the shipyard.

Our bill, the Gender Delusion Disqualification Act, would ensure individuals diagnosed with gender dysphoria cannot hold sensitive federal positions subject to mental health standards or obtain federal certifications requiring those same standards.
