@Dualchgwp@chyeaok If you can't see the basis for not allowing basic human rights subject to the superstitions of religious fundamentalists then yes there is no serious discussion to be had.
@1892_marc @CyclingForMind Difficult to grasp from behind the wheel of a car I grant you but biking anywhere be it the store, to work or to visit the grandkids is something that is far more entertaining than a podcast. I listen to those at home. I live in the world around me on my bike - even amidst cars.
@matthewstoller I've been voting for US presidents since 1972. I've written people in, voted for people I didn't like & railed against many winners. I voted for Harris in 2020, as VP that's how it works. I'm all ears for other options if you have more than snark on the table but til then ...
I've already voted once for Harris. That was part of the deal in voting in Biden but then I've been voting in US elections since 1972 so I get it. I'd like your help in ensuring my kids & grandkids don't live under a Trump world. Vote & encourage, even hector everyone you know to
For the 'cyclists should pay to use the road' types
I'm happy to pay if it is proportionate to the damage I do
It would take a road bike 3,044 years of doing the same journey every day to damage the road as much as 1 journey in an SUV

H/T @CS3Count
If you haven't watched the Richard Loncraine film production of Richard III this would be a good time to stream the movie. The bard once again informs our current world. Ian McKellan of course is fantastic.

@AmericanFietser Would that the rest of bike twitter would do the same. I had hoped that seeing @TheWarOnCars decamp would do the trick but alas most of the bike specific posting happens here still.
