Reliability is a luxury in Nigeria. If your brand is the only one that shows up on time and delivers exactly what was promised, you are already in the 1%.
“Habits are first like cobwebs.
But in the end, they are like iron chains”
-J C Ryle.
As you wake up today,
Before you step out of bed,
Before you start checking posts,
Before you start replying messages,
Before you spend hours on social media,
Say a word of prayer:
For yourself, for your life, for your day;
Pray that God will go ahead of you and make your life a blessing to others. Pray for others who are in a difficult situation at this time and pray that God will comfort them.
Spend 10-15minutes on meditation.
No words. No phone. No sound. If possible, no lights. Just lay there- you and your mind. Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, excellent or praiseworthy—think on such things. Take a full deep breath in and out and repeat this cycle for the whole 10mins.
You will find out that your day is 100% better doing this than just waking up, grabbing phone, replying messages, and rushing out. Make this a daily habit and see how life is incredibly more peaceful, more purposeful and more positive for you.
Remember: Habits are first like cobwebs.
But in the end, they are like iron chains.
Good morning. And have a nice day ahead.

I have lived 23 years in Nigeria and 17 years abroad. Here is what self-help gurus won't tell you
1. You can't outwork your location
I worked hard growing up in Nigeria.
Anyone who went to school with me will tell you.
I will resume school later than my mates due to late payment of fees and I will still end up among the best in class.
Poverty showed me shege!
Then I moved abroad.
Same person. Same work ethic. Same drive.
My currency had actual purchasing power.
My labour was valued 10x higher for the same work.
Infrastructure actually functioned.
That's not mindset or manifestation.
That's geography.
Your location determines your floor and ceiling.
Hard work only determines where you land within that range.
It is not your fault. It is the structural reality.
2. What you work on matters more than how hard you work.
This shifted everything for me.
Before you ask "How can I work harder?" ask this:
"The people who did this work before me - where did they end up? Do I want to end up there?"
If you don't like the destination, effort alone won't save you.
You need a different path, not more hours.
3. If you can't move physically, move digitally
I know what it feels like to have your geography hold you hostage.
But here's the only advantage our generation has: The internet doesn't check your passport like embassy.
20 years ago, I used Google to research scholarships.
Today, you have ChatGPT, Claude, and tools that would have seemed like magic back then.
But most people use the internet to scroll, not to build.
They consume content instead of creating it.
They watch other people win instead of building their own leverage.
Same tools. Completely different outcomes.
Gurus won't tell you this because it destroys their "100% mindset" business model.
Focus on these three and 2026 won't look like 2025.
Location × Leverage × Work Ethic = Outcome
Do you agree, or do you think hard work alone is enough?
If you learn from this, share it with someone who needs to hear it.

I have paid the tuition. You get the lessons.
There are only about 3,000 billionaires in the world.
One of them asked me a simple question that quietly changed how I understand money.
He walked past me one afternoon in London.
I couldn't believe my eyes.
"Dr. Mo!" I shouted.
He turned, smiled, and we spoke briefly.
When I told him I was working on a hotel refurbishment nearby, he asked:
"Do you own the hotel?"
We both laughed.
I moved on.
But that joke wouldn't leave me alone.
Some months later, I became very intentional about money. I had to unlearn a lot of what I thought I knew.
I went deep. I even studied and wrote CFA Level 1.
And the lesson became clear:
Income is not wealth.
Equity is.
Wealth is owning a piece of something that earns, even while you sleep.
That is what investors, pension funds, private equity, and institutions understand deeply.
As we end the year, ask yourself honestly:
What do I own?
What is appreciating while I'm scrolling Instagram?
And what do I plan to own next?
I bought some Meta shares when they were trading at $99.
Today, they are around $650.
Warren Buffett said it best:
If you don't find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die.
I shared a simple YouTube video breaking down equity investing for beginners if you are ready.
This new year:
We are learning.
We are building.
We are winning together. 🙏
What part of your money mindset are you currently unlearning?
Your life is a testimony of impact, excellence, and influence—truly a force in the freelancing world. Thank you for all you do. May the coming year bring you new realms of success and fulfilment.

If you are like me; the ones who build from scratch…
…from a third world country
With no help from rich relatives. It is just you fighting to get out of the pits of poverty.
Here is a quick piece of advice.
Something I wish someone had told me 6 years ago.
Number one:
What you work on is more important than how hard you work. Someone is somewhere, working HARD for 80,000 Naira per month ($137)
- with their lifespan taking a hit from just how hard they work.
Then there is another person:
With Less effort. Yet they make way more. 100x way more.
It does not mean that the 80k person is stupid, could be circumstances - or lack of knowledge:
But you get the point.
It is NOT how hard you work that matters - are you working on the RIGHT THING? (See my pinned tweet for something that works that you can work on)
Number Two
Build on things that compound.
I have said this MANY Times…
…but listen; everything compounds.
Seeds grow.
Cancer spreads
The time you are wasting now on things that are not important, or affect your health, or your relationship - they all grow.
Business experience exponential growth spurts.
Which is why in the next coming years, all my effort is going to be on Billdaa (the new startup I am building). Already a guy made over 1 million naira from it in just one month (see my pinned tweet for more)
You should pick ONE THING.
One skill
One business
One career
…and go HARD in, learn all there is to learn to be number one and just throw yourself in.
If you improve at ONE THING, everyday - for 5 years: you will be the best at it.
Number 3:
Consistency is better than Intensity. In whatever you do.
I have lost more weight in the last 2 months than i have lost in all the previous times I tried to lose weight.
…why?
Because I stopped trying to push myself so hard, and tried pushing myself little by little instead - everyday.
Before i’ll go to the gym and work out soooooo hard.
The next day i will not be able to move my body.
So i don’t work out the next day
And the next day after that.
…till I NEVER go back to the gym again.
Now I keep it to a shorter time frame. The next day wake up with my bones intact, which means I am good to try again.
…which means rather than expect a FAST result, I am okay with going slower but surely.
Guess what?
I am putting this into EVERYTHING I work on.
I am much more patient in a balanced way.
Lethal (because you may outwork me but cannot outlast me.
Focused
Consistent.
I promise you, if you apply these 3 lessons to your life - a lot will change.
Environment is everything in life!
There is a friend of mine that told us he was comfortable earning $2k monthly.
The following month he traveled to Kenya and he saw a different world entirely.
We are the one begging him now to reduce his work rate.
Man makes atleast in a bad month $15k to $30k monthly.
I will say this again..
Be careful the type of people you listen to on social media especially on Twitter.
Twitter is an app that thrives on conflict & chaos. People would do anything to stay relevant and get paid.
Guard your attention & give no importance to rage baiting.
You’re not waiting for the perfect time. You’re just scared.
You’re not planning. You’re procrastinating.
Every day you delay, someone else who started with less is lapping you. Wake up
