@KateSFWriter I plot everything then put it away and write freely until I'm about half way through. Then I return to my plot and use it to galvanize me towards the end. It reminds me of what I originally intended, and I can see what's working and what isn't.
@cbcreative @jennieg_author #WriteCBC A barefoot lad darts by me, eyes big as the gobstoppers he'll spend his tuppence on. Nosy cows lean their heads atop the stone wall begging for gossip, but the women hurrying home need to bring the washing in before the rain and, like me, don't have time for idle chat.
@cbcreative@CorrineLeith "To get well." Maya nodded as it was her Christmas wish too. The elf shook his head. "For you to be happy," he said. He took her hand and led her to the window to see Lyra with Carol singers. Maya ran out and hugged her sister and together they lifted their voices in joyful song.
@cbcreative @char_hopkins "All children deserve a gift at Christmas," said Maya. "My sister didn't deserve her place on your list." Santa pulled out a parchment and gave it to her. She unrolled it. "It's empty," she said. "It always was," he smiled. He took her hand. "Come with me?" She hesitated.
@cbcreative Maya carefully uncurled her gossamer wings to float down the chimney. Tearing at the gifts she found the music box and stepped inside to pull off the tiny dancer's wings. But before she could take them back to her sister, the lid snapped shut. She was trapped. #5actfestivestory
@cbcreative@greengillybean Reaching up she began to climb the silvery ladder, the toolkit strapped to her back. The broken down sleigh was still out of reach when mischievous elfin fingers swung the rope threads wildly. Maya lost her footing and her frost bitten hands began to slip. #5actfestivestory

@cbcreative@RowanHLB#5actfestivestory She evoked the old songs to still the nervous elfling hiding inside her hooded cloak. The children took courage as she sang, harmonising their voices with hers, but as twilight sailed in, the words splintered. Maya drew her sword prepared to defend them all.
@cbcreative @JonnyGeller Outside in the fading light where the fields glowed grey-green, the spindly trees cast their long shadows as the Hawk and the Hound set the snare.
@TheGEAcademy As a child I yearned to go to Enid Blyton"s Malory Towers and as a teenager I dreamt myself in the tower of the Lady of Shalott. Now, as an adult the ability to step through other worlds in Philip Pullmans trilogy is intriguing. I wonder where I will want to go when I get old?
@cbcreative In the fading photograph they lean forward; fingers laced, lace floating, bright smiles reaching towards today, tomorrow and ever after. Love captured, stored safely, slipped silently away. Catching memory like sunshine. It was pouring the day we met. You shared your umbrella.
