RWENZORI MARATHON 2026
KASESE PEOPLE
BALUKU GEOFFREY/ JOY BIIRA
On my way from Mbarara yesterday, I get a phone call from @BalukuGeoffrey and says am here with my sister @JoyDoreenBiira and we would love to speak to you about RWENZORI MARATHON.
@martinkeino who is the son to the founding father of Kenya’s long distance running, once a top athlete also a top sports commentator and I were engaging the GOAT in running for RWENZORI MARATHON.
@JoyDoreenBiira on the other hand was engaging the manager of the G.O.A.T about the same topic. The reason is simple, Kasese is our home and we want to make our contribution for even better results.
If you have observed even here on X, KASESE PEOPLE are pushing RWENZORI MARATHON as though am paying them to so which isn’t true. They simply see us with support of our partners put in MONEY and ENERGY.
Anyone who has attended RWENZORI MARATHON will never argue with me about the value of events like RWENZORI MARATHON to the economy of Uganda and kasese in particular.
Many KASESE BUSINESS PEOPLE keep calling me to say, Amos make sure @RwenzoriMarathn happens because we have collected peoples money for different services already.
An international event is difficult to build reason Uganda doesn’t have many continuous events but when they happen, money is earned across board.
Uganda has only 3 international events now but every district of Uganda should push to have an international and that’s when you will see real growth for across board.
Those 3 international events are Namugongo martyrs day, RWENZORI MARATHON and Nyege Nyege, annually people from around the world look forward to coming to Uganda for those events.
Dear Catholics :
It's not a service, it's a liturgy.
It's not a robe, they are vestments.
It's not wine, it's the Blood of Jesus Christ
It's not bread, it's the Body of Jesus Christ,
Its not a table, it's an altar
It's not a song, it's a hymn.
It's not a poem, it's a psalm
It's not a preacher, it's a priest
It's not only a personal relationship, it's a convenantal relationship
I love being Catholic, it's our life and lifestyle..

Last night, I received a booking for a 4-day Queen Elizabeth National Park safari. Due to a shortage in our fleet, I reached out to our sister company, HB Safaris. They immediately confirmed availability and provided the perfect vehicle to ensure our clients enjoy a seamless experience.
This morning, after completing my 5km run in Kisasi, I arrived at the office and found the vehicle already delivered and ready for the trip.
This is exactly how businesses grow by supporting one another instead of competing in ways that weaken the industry. I’ve witnessed this model work exceptionally well in Tanzania.
For example, Tanzania Specialist owns over 320 Land Cruisers, yet during peak season they outsource nearly 200 additional vehicles from other tour operators to meet demand. That spirit of collaboration has played a big role in the country’s tourism success.
At Travel Specialists, we look forward to working with different companies because we believe that when one company wins, the entire tourism industry benefits.
Together, we can deliver better experiences, serve more clients, and grow Uganda’s tourism sector.
WHEN POVERTY BECOMES A GOVERNMENT SUCCESS STORY
a struggling mother is forced to hawk chickens under the hot sun just to put food on the table, a very brilliant caring MP from Kyaka @tombrightamooti sees her & takes her picture
Ugandans thought he was going ask, how can we help this woman? but instead, he thanked the President for empowering women 🤷🏿♂️🙆🏿♂️
so now, carrying chickens from roadside to roadside is called empowerment? Mr Mp sir, survival is not the same as empowerment boss
U must apologize to Abapakasi family

Pian Upe is one of Uganda’s hidden gems, and it is in the process of becoming a national park. It offers a wild and beautiful experience, almost like Kidepo Valley, with similar landscapes, wildlife, and strong cultural connections with the communities around it.
It is also the only protected area where you can find ostriches outside of Kidepo, making it even more special and worth exploring. The good thing is, it is closer and easier to access, with scenic roads that make the journey just as enjoyable as the destination.
If you’re looking for something different this season, Pian Upe is worth the visit. Come and discover its beauty and be part of its conservation journey.

#Kwibohora32 celebrations in Moscow.
Friday 3 July 2026, the Embassy of The Republic of Rwanda to the Russian Federation hosted the 32nd anniversary of Liberation Day celebrations in Moscow, bringing together Russian government officials, heads of diplomatic missions, members of the diplomatic corps, development & academic partners, friends of Rwanda and the Rwandan community
Happy 4th of July & Happy Rwanda Liberation Day (Kwibohora 32). 🇺🇸🇷🇼
Today reminds us that freedom is never something to take for granted.
As America celebrates its Independence Day, Rwanda commemorates Liberation Day—a day that marks the triumph of hope over despair and the beginning of a new chapter of healing, unity, and rebuilding.
May we never stop praying for our nations. May God raise leaders with wisdom, hearts that serve the people, and a generation that values peace, justice, and love above all else.
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” Psalm 33:12
Happy Independence Day to America, and Happy Liberation Day to Rwanda. May God continue to bless both nations.
