Friday was spent learning about the Battle of the Somme. We visited the Newfoundland Memorial, Lochnagar Crater, and ended with a visit to where the Allies and Germany signed the Armistice Treaty. #EAMayterm#WWI
Unbelievable day. We visited Vimy Ridge to learn about the infamous Canadian assault in 1917. Afterwards, we went to France’s largest cemetery and the battle grounds of Arras. #WWI#EAMayTerm@EAMayTerm
Day 1 ended with a visit to Les Invalides and Napoleon’s Tomb. Day 2 will begin with a “race to the sea.” We travel to Belgium look at the start of the Western Front! #EAmayterm
