But see as an education major, I’m told that saying “x person is disabled” is offensive ...
I’m supposed to say “x has a disability” so it’s a part of them, but doesn’t fully define them.
So now I don’t know which would be better to say... maybe depends on the person?

@TedHiff @sheehyrw There are many platforms of tech available to keep the parents/family informed on what the students are learning and this can help increase family support for the students. Inviting family to come in and help with projects, reading, etc can also be a good way to involve them

@TedHiff @sheehyrw A2: Having fun while learning is what helps many students become actually interested in what they’re learning. It gives purpose behind the learning and doesn’t make it seem meaningless to the child that doesn’t like school

@TedHiff @sheehyrw A1: My 2nd grade teacher took every bad situation and turned it into a lesson to help us make better decisions. She also took pictures of us throughout the year and made us our own photo albums which made me feel so special and loved. The reason I’m going to be a teacher today ❤️
