Hurricane Beryl has intensified to an extremely dangerous Category 4 hurricane, on trajectory to impact the Windward Islands of the Caribbean within the next 48-72 hours. Based on the most recent forecast, Grenada is currently facing the most extreme impact including dangerous wind, rainfall, and storm surge. St. Vincent and the Grenadines are a close second on the path of Beryl. Other islands likely to be impacted include Barbados, St. Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Beryl is the earliest Category 4 on record in the Atlantic Ocean and the only Category 4 storm ever to be recorded during the month of June.

PDC is working closely with our partners throughout the Eastern Caribbean region to provide real-time updates and our advanced analysis of the impacts to aid preparation, response, and recovery as this event unfolds.
