Somerset House is currently closed due to a fire which has broken out in one small part of the building.
All staff and public are safe and the site is closed. The London Fire Brigade arrived swiftly and we’re working very closely with them to control the spread of the fire.
Knocked 21 secs off my parkrun time today. Bit of work to get back to my PB, but to run my 2nd 5k in about 3 years in under 35 mins.. well happy.
Also, the parkrun community is so lovely. Even runners who already finished stayed to clap and cheer us on today. Glad to be back 🙌🏻

Going to my first Parkrun in yearsss this morning with my dad. Don't know if I'll manage the full 5k, but I'll give it a go. One thing's for sure.. I'll be needing a coffee at the end!
A rare day without my little lady, so it was time for my outdoorsy side to come out. Highlights - Bridgnorth and Bewdley walks, book shopping and an 80s exhibition. Lovely weather and lots to wonder about x
Started watching #TheTourist last night - very late to the party but it was soo good.
So I may overcome not having Bridgerton part 2 yet. Longest wait ever.
I did a graphic arts degree and it was the best thing I ever did. It brought me creativity and independence. Many people dropped out, like most subjects, but many went on to do incredible things. I found comms, which I love. I really hope people continue to get their choices 🙌
A big day for the birth trauma community. Thinking of all those brave mums, partners and loved ones who shared their stories to help improve care and support families 💜
Today’s publication day! I’m on my way down from #Stafford to Parliament to present a copy of our Birth Trauma Inquiry report in person to the Prime Minister with our recommendations on how to improve maternity care. Thankyou to everyone who gave us evidence 🙏#birthtraumainquiry
Following my national campaign, I’m delighted that at the Women’s Health Summit today the Health Secretary has confirmed that birth trauma has been added to the Women’s Health Strategy and is now a priority for the Government in 2024.
Such an important inquiry. It affects families so much more than we realise and there needs to be better education and training. Those suffering from postnatal PTSD and birth trauma need and deserve the right support 🤍
