For the better part of the last year, weโve been working closely with the incredible team at Epic Games to bring Jack the Clown into Fortnite.
From the beginning, the goal was simple: make sure Jack felt like Jack.
That meant getting into the smallest details of the character as he appears at Halloween Horror Nights 35. His proportions. His makeup. His costume. His textures. Even the striations in the stitching on his sleeves. We kept asking ourselves, how much detail can we get into this while still translating Jack authentically into the look and feel of Fortnite?
And Epic absolutely embraced that challenge.
Jack has been part of Halloween Horror Nights for 25 years. Heโs a character beloved by our team, by me personally, and by generations of HHN fans. So knowing we had this once in a lifetime opportunity to introduce our icon of icons in an entirely new medium made every one of those details matter.
I couldnโt be happier with where we landed.
This has been such a fun collaboration with Epic Games, and seeing Jack standing there in Fortnite is pretty surreal.
25 years later, the clown is still finding new places to cause chaos.
