@gokulr@KateClarkTweets@theinformation AMEN (if I could make that 56-pt font I would). We run 8.5M & 20M funds and our median company only needs a ~$450mm exit to return the fund by itself. And if you can’t find sub-$20M seed companies, you’re not looking very hard.
@HarryStebbings@rabois@wolfejosh Nailed it. This is why we coach founders: 1) it's mostly a numbers game (i.e. finding those who're already sold), 2) your deck is not for closing, it's for opening; clearly convey info needed to get a meeting from the potential "yesses" & a quick pass from the "no's" (& no more)
@BillSimmons You may have already heard this question, but just in case:
Has anyone ever had a Ewing Theory impact on two teams in the same season? And could Rodgers be the first (assuming the Jets find an anyone-but-Zach-Wilson alternative at QB)?
Here is my full old man “get off my lawn” post (rant?), I firmly believe this is too important an issue to let pass without comment.

I recently listened to a podcast interview with the founder of a company building AI "girlfriends" and "boyfriends," with which customers can go on "dates" for $1/minute.
The real threat to humanity is not AI; it's still humanity, and here's why 👇
The product is appalling, but even more so, the tone-deaf founder’s refusal to exhibit even a shred of social responsibility, going so far in the interview as to willfully dismiss the negative repercussions he acknowledges this product will have.
The best strategy tech founders can take right now:
1. Get clear on your vision and make sure all goals align with the vision.
2. Recognize your weak areas and hire people better than you in those areas.
3. Keep raising as much as you can.
The spiraling cost of higher education in the USA has a clear tie-in to how and why it matters to the future of startups/tech innovation in America.

Web3 Funding Continues to Crater!
Be honest, how many people do you know who can smoothly weave a 48-year-old movie reference into a blurb on Web3?
That alone justifies a 6-minute read, no?

@TotalSoccerShow@TotalSoccerShow - wouldn’t offside rule make more sense if it was based only on the feet of the attacker/defender? Being offside because you’re leaning slightly towards the goal seems against the spirit of the rule. Can you please have this fixed? Thx. 🙂
