My good friend mattcritch26 has written a fantastic short story to reassure kids this Christmas. It was a pleasure to provide the illustrations. If you know anyone who might want a copy you can get yours using the link in my bio.

Living through these unprecedented times of social distancing makes me think back to very different days when heart filled moments like this could be shared without reservation. This is my vision of @jhenderson & his Dad, one year ago today in Madrid.
I’m going to do 2 online charity auctions this month to raise money for our NHS heroes. I’m donating two of my pieces, one featuring @ManCity the other @LFC, and let’s see how much we can do to help our frontline staff. Blues v Reds - who will win this one?!
My final picture of the week - a strange one for me. I had just 48 hours to try and re-create this Vincent Kompany goal against Leicester last May for a TV programme. There’s lots I’d change about the piece but the fact Kompany saw it, signed it and liked it was pretty cool!
This commission came off the back of the Parade and captured the interaction between Liverpool fans on the Kop and their team after an unbelievable 4-0 win to comeback against Barcelona last May. The emotion of the original image was plain to see, the detail though took time!
‘The Parade’ is a piece I’m really proud of - not just for the art but for the amazing amount of money we raised for @ClaireHouse when auctioning it last year. I like the contrast between distinction & suggestion in the picture. I’m sure @LFC fans will enjoy this one!
This painting was an early study of colour & contrast. This was reworked many times & I had just about given up on it when a friend remarked on what they liked about it. This changed the way I saw things, it took my focus away from what wasn’t working and onto what was.
This was my first commission - the Whitsunday Islands in Oz.
I hadn’t learnt the importance of colour mixing & relied heavily on colour straight from the tube. Although I missed out on some depth I was pleased with the blending in the water. It’s something I’ve tried to develop
One of my 1st scenes was an abstract rainy New York street. I was trying to avoid painting detail but the final picture didn’t wow me, I was really unsure. Now I look back & see the positives & have learnt the suggestion of detail thru different brush selection and loose strokes
This was really just a learning experience - brush selection, hand eye co-ordination and paint loading. I wanted clean lines, I couldn’t do it and beat myself up a bit. Now I kind of like the imperfections in it all. But this was my starting point...
I’ve loved art and drawing ever since I can remember. I just never really had any confidence that what I was doing was any good. I used to love sketching out designs on pads at home but painting was a new challenge. And a massive one. And this is my first attempt, way back when..
