I don’t think people are missing anything here, it’s honestly a real plot hole. If Jean’s range is only 33 feet and she was still stuck in the helicopter that Spider-Man had webbed in mid-air, she shouldn’t have been able to reach MJ that quickly. Peter clearly had the advantage, and the movie never really explains how she got there first.
