🚆 A New Train Breaks Down…
@TUKGroup_
and East Midlands Failway confirm the first #Arsewipe from our new £400 million fleet will have to be recalled‼️
📈 New trains provide worse seats, cheap, plastic interiors and broken accessibility features.
Our 222s are better.
My thoughts are with everyone affected by the shocking incident at Bedford yesterday evening.
Condolences to the driver who tragically passed away from the collision, and anyone injured.
I don't normally make posts like this, but it wouldn't feel right flaming EMR during this.
The thoughts of LNER are with all the customers and our railway colleagues impacted by the incident on East Midlands Railway earlier this evening.
Customers with EMR tickets can use any LNER service to travel toward their destination until the end of service on Saturday 20 June.
CAR STUCK ON SHEFFIELD TRAM TRACKS THIS MORNING 🚋🚗
A car ended up stuck on the Supertram tracks behind Sheffield Station at around 6am, causing delays on the Blue Route while it was removed.
How does this even happen? #Sheffield#Supertram@SY_Supertram
The first refurbished 222 for @LumoTravel has been outshopped from Alstom’s Widnes facility ahead of the Euston-Stirling service launch next month. 222001 is now numbered 222601 as a 6-car unit and the former First Class seats have been replaced with new seating. 📷 Lumo
@lisagreen633@TravelSYorks Oh the solo, it'll be running for a fair while unfortunately as the vehicle has just been transferred to first SY. The answer is first group don't know what capacity means
Morning 👋! We have some exciting news for customers. We’re replacing our intercity high speed trains (HSTs) with more modern Class 222s. 🚆
The triple 2s are getting a complete makeover with a new interior, better Wi-Fi, improved accessibility, cycle spaces, and electronic seat reservations.✨
You’ll be able to board the first of these trains in late 2027.

The LNER service 09.31 York to Peterborough has been cancelled, this is due to a fault on this train. I wonder if it was a “azuma” train which is based on the Japanese “bullet train technology”.
Nice one fellas, £80 uber to Luton airport because your man here fell asleep leaving 50 of us stranded outside the station in West Hampstead, I’ll take some solid compensation thanks @TLRailUK
