❓What’s the only Council in the country to secure funding for, then build and open TWO new schools for children with special needs and/or disabilities?
It’s our #Bexley Conservative Council.
#MakingBexleyEvenBetter ✔️
Residents in East Wickham @eastwickham will remember when we introduced such measures at the Shoulder of Mutton Green, Labour party activists organised a petition against protecting the site! 🙄
🤫 What a coincidence - in #Bexley Labour don’t want to debate the report from their own Government either - mainly because it says #Bexley has one of best road networks in the country and Labour don’t like good news for or about our Borough.
⚡️NEW⚡️
Bexley’s #roads officially rated as among the best in the whole country by new Government data.
PLUS, we’re one of only FOUR Councils in #London rated as Green for the good condition of our #roads, the highest rating possible.
#MakingBexleyEvenBetter
⚡️ Over 300 roads across #Bexley have been resurfaced or improved since 2021; a record number following our record investment in this maintenance programme. ✔️#MakingBexleyEvenBetter
Thanks to the @LBofBexley for this swift turnaround.
We don’t like graffiti and littering but if people are selfish enough to do it, it can be dealt with quickly (when it’s reported).

‼️Cllr Richard Diment sets out the facts about road funding in #Bexley after a local Labour MP forced Council officers to go out in the middle of the night to inspect alleged potholes.

⚡️The new Community Diagnostic Centre, campaigned for by our #Conservative Council, and delivered by the #Conservative Government, was officially opened today by @TeresaONeillLBB at Queen Mary’s Hospital. Incoming Council Leader David Leaf attended too.

I was delighted to visit Shenstone School in Belvedere last week & am so excited that the Secondary School permanent home is now open.
It’s taken a lot of hard work & commitment of Council staff, Councillors, TKAT Academy Trust and school leaders to get to this superb facility.
Congrats to everyone across Bexley receiving their results today. Whatever your grades, there’s a great path ahead.
Thanks to @HabsCrayford for welcoming me early this morning. It was great to meet staff and students and hear about their successes and plans for the future.
Shocking scenes tonight at Council tonight. @BexleyLabour couldn’t even begin to defend @MayorofLondon’s record on crime & policing so they walked out on the debate called by @bexleynews Conservatives.
9 months to go until 🗳️& have already given up representing Bexley residents.
We’re in Barnehurst this morning with the @BexleyheathTory team, talking about how we are delivering for Bexley:
🚙 Invest £4.5 million in repairing roads
🌳 Protect our green spaces and parks
🚨 Crackdown on fly tipping with fines up to £1,000
👉Community is the rock on which #Bexley is built.
👉Every day, lots of people help lots of other people, and every year we recognise some of those through the Civic Recognition Awards.

Fellow East Wickham councillors. @LineNewton and @CouncillorHall were delighted to propose and second our ward colleague, @CMCatterall as @LBofBexley’s 61st mayor last night.
Wishing you an amazing year ahead.
Bexley's new Mayor is Cllr @CMCatterall and her consort is Mr Dave Curtois.
They will fundraise for Age UK Bexley and Bexley Moorings. Councillor Janice Ward-Wilson has been appointed as her Deputy Mayor.

⚡️Our #Conservative#Bexley Council was one of the FIRST Councils to crack down on HMOs, signing an Article 4 Direction in 2016 which took effect from 2017.
As a result, planning applications have to be submitted for any such proposal.
