@GWRHelp on 1635 from
Newport to London Paddington with family. We booked 4 seats in coach B. Platform announcement says coach B in zone 5. Only there is no
coach B. So we’re are standing in the aisle. No announcement, no apology. What is going on?
@cath_haddon not sure I understand how he can give this assurance bearing in mind the docs are initially being reviewed by witnesses and many of the witnesses are politicians
@JohnRentoul The flaw here your word "logical".
Decisions about the extent of disclosure require judgments about what is reasonable and proportionate.
There is no reason in logic or otherwise to take her "position" to an "extreme".
@citycyclists @joannaaverley@activetraveleng Good news, though the letter says:
"This will apply outside of London. Inside the capital current arrangements between the Boroughs, the GLA, and Transport for London will apply unless otherwise agreed on a case by case basis."
@DXW_KC@AdamWagner1@JoshuaRozenberg@Michael_Ellis1 Persuasive when identifying problems in the current constitution.
The much more difficult task is identifying any intersection between what should and what could practically be done to improve it.
@JolyonMaugham@finishedloading I think they were probably referring to Prof Dworkin's "Justice for Hedgehogs" and the traditional philosophical comparison between foxes and hedgehogs, rather than seeking justice for any particular fox...
@ProfMarkElliott if the PM changes, there is a new govt: HMTQ asks a new PM to form a new govt. So this motion is not conditional. It is a VONC on this govt.
@TLRailUK@hernehillforum So it looks like: (a) we still don't have our old 6 trains Herne Hill to Blackfriars in peak am and (b) no increase to account for extra demand from Crossrail connection at Farringdon.
Trains are going to be too busy to board!
@TLRailUK@hernehillforum 0842 train from herne hill to Blackfriars late and too full to board. When will we get our two missing trains back during rush hour?
@TLRailUK@hernehillforum Also, what plans are you making to address increased demand when the Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) opens? There will be a great connection at Farringdon for Thameslink users. Will Thameslink trains be able to cope with the extra demand?
@TLRailUK@hernehillforum Thank you for your prompt response. Please do restore the full service.
We are supposed to be encouraged public transport but it’s not much use if the trains are too full to board!
