Pi Network continues trending despite dwindling price

Yesterday, Pi Network (@PiCoreTeam) climbed to the top of the OKX trending chart, outranking Bitcoin, Ethereum, @BNBCHAIN, @Solana, and @Uniswap.

The move can be attributed to renewed community interest in the project's utility, not its price alone.

Recent events worth mentioning include:

- The revival of OpenPay's cash-in function, which will help people exchange their PI for fiat currency

- RoboPay integration, which plans to allow Pioneers to use PI to pay robots for services such as delivery and inspection.

As for App Studio, it has switched from a subsidy-based fee structure to usage-based pricing tied to real AI costs, indicating an intent to encourage sustainable developer engagement.

$PI currently trades at around $0.095 and has a market cap of approximately $1.05 billion.

Pi Launchpad is an interesting concept because it isn't simply about launching another token.

The goal is to create an ecosystem-token layer where projects can launch with mechanisms designed around the Pi ecosystem.

The Testnet experiments with SLICE have already been used to educate Pioneers about liquidity pools, swaps and automated token pricing.

Testnet is where the mechanics are being learned. Mainnet is where the economics matter.
