After putting out AFL player props for a few rounds, I’ve decided to create a seperate account for Australian based sports (@EBCPropLocksAUS). The majority of player markets aren’t available in the US, which means a lot of plays are only relevant to my Aussie followers.
@JG4President I don’t think that’s necessarily true, I look at it from a 1-3 year view, but I respect your opinion. I think we just view Garland’s value as a tradeable asset very differently.
If you keep Garland, you get bounced in the first round and then irs another mediocre season. What implications that has, we will never know, but I honestly think DMitch might have asked out. Honestly, the trade has been good and if Atkinson doesn’t have a genuine meltdown of a coaching performance in G1 you are up 1-0 in the ECF.
If there was such plentiful options available, they would have pursued them. All rumours seem to indicate they chose the best available to try maximise a championship, given DMitch has a 27/28 player option. The only other major reported option was Giannis, but that means dealing Mobley. Also, by keeping Garland they would have been forced into signing him for a super max, which alone is worthwhile getting off him. Worst case, you’ve freed up a ton of cap, and have a good core you can pursue another FA with if Harden declines his option.
That wraps up the NBA season, a quieter one in terms of betting volume due to various personal reasons, but a decent return overall.
NBA record: 64-44 (+26.6U)
Have one future remaining, which is 0.5U on Duren (DET) MIP @ $26. Unfortunately I think Alexander-Walker ends up taking that award, so that will take us closer to 26U on the season.
Will be more active come playoffs, so keen an eye out for bets then.
