On the morning of September 11, 2001, Stanley Praimnath was at work on the 81st floor of the World Trade Center’s South Tower when he witnessed an American Airlines jet heading directly toward his building.

In a split-second decision, he prayed and took cover under his desk just as the plane struck the tower above his office level.

The collision tore a hole in the wall behind him and sucked out almost everything in his office, leaving only his desk, which providentially protected him from the ensuing fire and debris.

Trapped amidst the wreckage, Stanley’s pleas for help were heard by Brian Clark, another survivor, who bravely came to his aid.

Together, they navigated the stairs and managed to flee the building mere minutes before it collapsed. Stanley attributes his miraculous survival to divine intervention and sees Brian as a lifelong friend.

AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT TINUBU:

Dear Sir;
It is with huge disappointment that I write to you this open letter on the first day of the new year. I wish I could start with pleasantries but this is a serious matter that wouldn’t require any of such.

On December 23-25, 2023;
Just under 1week ago, Plateau people were massacred by terrorists who killed about 200 people and injured about 500 others.

Today 1Jan2024,
Barely one week after the massacres;
As President, you gave a new year speech and NOT one tribute was sent, NOT one sympathy was given and NOT one mention was made of these 200 dead casualties, the 500 injured victims, or their grieving bereaved families. Sir with all due respect, this is very disappointing and shameful even from someone of your class. Do nigerian lives not matter to you at all?

As President, you did not even think that the killing of 200 Nigerians was worth mentioning at all in your new year speech.

As President, you did not think that sending condolences and support to 500 injured Nigerians was something worth doing with your new year speech. Again I ask sir, do Nigerian lives mean nothing to you?

As far as this speech is concerned,
Those murdered 200 Plateau people, those 500 injured people, and the many thousands of their families, friends and loved ones do not deserve any attention and are not worthy of any mention in the New Year Speech.

Essentially in very simple terms:
Their lives are basically worthless.

You the President are a Yoruba man and we come from the same region of the country but the cold brutal truth needs to be said to you sir without any sugarcoating it at all:

What you did this morning with the deliberate intentional omission of the victims of the Plateau massacre is evil, it is cruel, very callous and completely soulless.

Except and unless the Presidency under your leadership will claim, or lie, that the broadcast was pre-recorded long before the massacres 1week ago, there is absolutely zero excuse for this.

And even if that were to be the case, one will wonder why anyone with a brain in the Presidency still considered it sensible or intelligent to carry on with the broadcast this morning knowing fully well that such an important omission will be a catastrophic error considering how many lives were lost in the Plateau massacre. But again, maybe I’m expecting too much from a government filled with morons who have proven repeatedly that empathy, compassion, competence and intelligence is unavailable in their skill set. I say this with all due respect sir.

This is not all criticism from me.
My suggestion and advice as a concerned citizen is that as a caring President- if you are- then you should make an immediate followup video apologising unreservedly to the Plateau people about this catastrophic colossal mess. You should also release a statement explaining and also apologising profusely to these grieving families in Plateau state assuring them of your commitment to their wellbeing and safety.

Except and unless this is done,
I’m sorry but the impression will be forever sealed that this is a brutal inhuman government that doesn’t care about Nigerians and that believes deeply that the Nigerian life is totally worthless as far as you the President is concerned.

As I said earlier,
What you did this morning with the deliberate intentional omission of the victims of the Plateau massacre in the New Year Day speech is blatantly evil, it is disgustingly cruel, it is totally very callous and completely soulless in every way or angle you look at it.

It is my hope and prayer that if you ever get to read this open letter sir, you will make the urgent necessary amends to immediately appease the families and loved ones of the 200 dead and 500 injured Plateau victims.

I write as a concerned citizen.
