12 life hacks you need to know:
1. If someone sends you a message on WhatsApp and you want to read it without them knowing that you have read it (without triggering the blue ticks), turn on aeroplane mode first, read the message and close the app before turning your data back on.
2. If your phone gets stolen, log into your Google account from another device immediately and use Find My Device to lock it remotely before they access anything.
3. Never click links sent to you via SMS or WhatsApp from unknown numbers. That is how SIM swaps and bank fraud begin.
4. Start investing in Nigerian stocks even with small amounts. Bamboo, Trove and Meristem let you start with as little as N2,000. Your money should be working while you sleep.
5. Always get a receipt for every rent payment. No matter how friendly your landlord seems, paper is your protection.
6. Before you collect a house key from any landlord in Nigeria, change the lock immediately. You do not know who else has a copy of that key.
7. Keep a small emergency cash amount hidden at home. Not everything requires a transfer. Power outages, network failures and emergencies do not wait for your app to load.
8. If you ever witness or are involved in any legal matter, document everything immediately. Dates, times, names and conversations. Memory fades but records do not.
9. Never sign any document you have not read completely. Not a tenancy agreement, not a loan form, not a job contract. Nobody is in a hurry enough to cost you your peace.
10. Open a separate savings account you do not have a debit card for. Money you cannot easily access is money you actually save.
11. Turn on two step verification on WhatsApp right now. Go to Settings, Account, then Two Step Verification. It stops anyone from transferring your number to another device without your permission.
12. No matter how small your income is, save at least 10 to 20 percent every month before you spend anything. Pay yourself first.
Above all, love God.
iPhone saying “Storage Full” and your WhatsApp refuses to open? Snapchat freezing too? Don’t delete your favorite gallery videos.
Do this instead:
WhatsApp → Profile → Storage & Data → Manage Storage → Review & Delete Items
You’ll find huge duplicate videos/files from whatsapp groups you’re in. They aren’t videos you need, just shared ones. Delete the largest ones first. Most are already saved twice anyway.
This frees up massive space WITHOUT removing photos/videos from your gallery.
Anytime the storage warning returns, repeat the process.
I will advise every young man and woman to learn Cybersecurity. The skilled professionals currently in this field are scarce.
Right now there are over 500,000 open cybersecurity jobs in the US alone with nobody to fill those vacancies. The annual salary is over $100,000.
Dedicate 6 months to one year to learning this skill. You do not need a four year degree to start. Certifications like CompTIA Security+ and Google Cybersecurity Professional are enough to get your foot in the door.
Download any of these platforms and start learning today:
TryHackMe (https://t.co/7OYKOcqmg3), Coursera (https://t.co/PQqYPYabbv) and Hack The Box (https://t.co/QCMh10P2LC). All three are beginner friendly and highly recommended.
Once you are skilled enough, apply for any of these roles:
Security Analyst, Penetration Tester, Cloud Security Architect, Cybersecurity Engineer, Threat Intelligence Analyst, Incident Responder and Chief Information Security Officer. Entry level roles start at $65,000 to $95,000. Senior roles pay as high as $450,000.
The demand is massive. The manpower is scarce. That gap is your opportunity.
Learn Cybersecurity and position yourself where the world is already looking.
Above all, love God.
Since I saved these numbers on my phone:
09133333785
09133333786
I move differently.
Anytime police stop me for search, I cooperate fully.
No argument. No shouting. No aggression.
But the moment it starts looking like extortion, I calmly let them know I’m ready to report through the proper channel.
A lot of Nigerian youths don’t realize that knowing your rights — and staying lawful — is powerful.
If your way is clean, you have nothing to fear.
Those numbers have saved me from illegal “bribe way” more than 10 times — no drama, no noise.
I even shared it with someone once, and the issue was resolved properly.
The moral?
Be respectful.
Be lawful.
Know your rights.
Wisdom is better than aggression. 💯
