@gnightmoonshine Yep- I serve as town commissioner on the Solid Waste and Recycling commission. This idea- that the transition to sustainability starts in schools with young people inspired to make change and have an impact makes a lot of sense and is worth funding!
I grew up going to @ct_folk and for many years our house was the Green Room for performers.
Weβll be performing this year with the likes of @thevaleriejune and @oliverwoodmusic . Pinch me!
Sat 2pm Sept 10th is our set!
Enjoy this summer dear ones!!!
@brianschatz easy mistake to make but an undersell on MSNBC just now this bill gets you *80%* of the way to the goal of 50% reduction of emissions below 2005 levels by 2030. (Not 40% - that would be much much worse)
@shaylekann no pushback when plastics from landfills is classified as βbiomassβ in this episode? Plastics are not part of the natural carbon cycle and increase net C02 when burned (+ help big oil) Food waste must be separated from trash to make this work- https://t.co/5WaXietW1P
My musings on Wildwood Flower: why bluegrass although not my fav, is an excellent teacher, and why thinking of music in "black" and "white" is usually bullshit.

This episode was an unpleasant reminder of how infuriating it is that the CBO (and many other orgs) are still not pricing in the cost of climate change. That would be like calculating the price of burning your house for fuel and not factoring in the lost house.
This week on @CarbonCopy_Pod with guest @MarkVinPaul: How the Congressional Budget Office is stacking the deck against climate policy. Listen here β‘οΈ https://t.co/YIN3uZOxs3
Guitarists. Ever tried playing scales 4 chronological fingers to a string, like a violin? I got this idea via @CritterEldridge from @julian_lage and my thoughts on "why?" are below. ( https://t.co/nH4YNZVjT5 + click feed tab for my demo vid of this approach in Emaj)
