This is absolutely hilarious. The buffoon is talking about all the pre-Muslim Arab achievements in the Levant. He makes an excellent case for Arab decolonisation…
I’m excited to share that in a week, on July 27, my short book Hamas and Its Two Million Hostages will be published in paperback and as an eBook. It traces Hamas’s rise in Gaza; its motivations, the ideology that shaped its rule, and the road to October 7; interwoven with my own experience growing up under its ascent. I reflect on key elements of Gaza’s recent history and Hamas’s assault on the Palestinian national project. While not a full memoir or exhaustive history, the book offers a clear, accessible overview for readers often misled about Gaza and the Islamist movement that dominates it.
The book’s argument is direct: Hamas has inflicted catastrophic harm on Palestinians, turning Gazans into hostages of a violent, rigid movement whose decisions led to the Strip’s devastation, all while accounting for Israeli policy choices that helped entrench Hamas and made dislodging it difficult. This short book is my case against the terror organization and against those who cast it as legitimate “resistance.” It is a call to promote Palestinian agency, accountability, and responsibility, even within the profound imbalance of power dynamics with Israel. Palestinians urgently need honest assessment and self‑reflection from a genuinely pro‑Palestine perspective to learn from past mistakes and chart a different path toward safety, prosperity, freedom, and well‑being.

🚨 NEW from @Ipsos_in_the_UK Britain backs Binface 🚨
When asked who they would prefer win the Clacton by-election...
33% say Count Binface
21% say Nigel Farage
32% say neither
13% are undecided
Two weeks ago I booked tickets to see @CountBinface performing live in London, which seemed like a quirky fun thing to do 🗑️
Then Nigel Farage and the media furore happened, and somehow I randomly ended up being the only journalist in the audience last night at the sold-out gig (many journalists had begged to attend to no avail, apparently) 😅
The veteran journalist John Sweeney @johnsweeneyroar interviewed him live on stage in the style of Jeremy Paxman and then it was opened up to the floor.
Overall, it was a very funny gig - John Harvey seemed to view the whole week is rather surreal. I think some of the best material he’d planned for the gig he’d already used on air, so he was literally ad-libbing satire on the spot based on what questions he was asked, which is pretty impressive given that the room was also not air-conditioned and so we were all sweating in close quarters for an hour and 20 minutes.
I also met one of his supposed supporters, who has been funding him at the rate of £3 a month for the last 15 years 💷 (in answer to the, “who is funding him?” question)
Here are some gems from the night 💎:
- Count Binface clearly really detests Nigel Farage
- Count Binface pledges to put David Attenborough on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square
- On the topic of AI stealing creative content and taking over our jobs, Count Binface wants to “stop the bots!” and thinks we should break into OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman’s house in the middle of the night steal his DNA to create a “Sam Altman AI”
- Count Binface admits he is “weak on uncontrolled immigration” given that he is an alien that travelled to Earth to stand as a joke candidate, but he says that he is holding back the rest of the spaceships from invading Earth 🚀
- However he did admit that he is an intergalactic space warrior who is bent on dominating mankind (I’m kind of up in the air about whether Clacton should vote for him now)
- The Count Binface helmet does come with some sort of cooling device, but sadly he left it in the dressing room last night before the gig 🫠
- Overall Count Binface said that he just really cares about democracy, and he doesn’t think we should count on him to become a member of Parliament or any other kind of statesmen. In fact, he would like to get only *just* enough votes to prevent Farafe from being elected.
- He just feels it’s important for the public to have the option to spoil their vote in order to express displeasure at current policies and politicians
- And John Sweeney has challenged Nigel Farage to submit for a live onstage interview (highly unlikely, methinks)
P.S. Do get in contact if you would like to use any of the images and videos that I captured last night. Yes, I do need to be paid, legal action will be taken if you use it without permission 😊

URGENT:
"I reached out to almost every newspaper inside Iran. No one will touch this story."
Zeinab Mousavi known as "Aban" is dying quietly in Vakilabad Prison, and Iran’s regime wants no one to know.
A barista arrested alongside her brother Hassan on February 24, 2025, Zeinab has been charged with moharebeh, "enmity against God", for protesting. The charge carries the death penalty.
Now, her health is collapsing. For several consecutive nights, she has been suffering seizures in her sleep. Her family and supporters are demanding her immediate emergency transfer for medical treatment outside the prison walls. That demand has been ignored.
The silence around her case is not accidental.
Sepideh Qolian, an Iranian activist who was herself just released from prison, tried to break it. She reached out to most major Iranian newspapers to speak about the deteriorating conditions of the December protesters from Mashhad. Not one was willing to publish it.
"I'm at my most helpless," Qolian wrote. "If I speak to foreign media, I'll be arrested again. The conditions of the December prisoners are very bad."
Iran has built a perfect trap: beat them inside, silence those who witness it, and punish anyone who speaks out.
Zeinab Mousavi may be executed for protesting. She may also die waiting for medical care she is being denied.
Her story is being buried in real time. We refuse to let that happen.

I will accept Nigel Farage’s request to be appointed Steward and Bailiff of the Manor of Northstead.
It is a farce and a desperate distraction, and the people of Clacton deserve better.
But if he wants to spend the summer arguing with a bin, I won't stop him.
@KevinASchofield@CountBinface@RobertJenrick total lack of any sense of humour or irony on full display here. Will be wonderful to see all these opportunistic ex Tories out of options after Fartage goes out to a Bin.
On This Day — July 10, 1933
Time Magazine put Joseph Goebbels on its cover — and praised the Nazis.
Just months after Hitler seized power, the American magazine featured the Nazi propaganda minister and described Adolf Hitler as a “vegetarian superman.” The article lauded how Nazi rule had “lifted the spirit of the German people” and openly noted that one of the regime’s most effective tactics was “explaining away all Germany’s defeats and trials in terms of the Jew.”
Goebbels’ own line — “The Jews are to blame!” — actually appeared on the front cover.
This was mainstream American media treating the rising Nazi regime with a mix of fascination and reluctant admiration — while the machinery of antisemitic propaganda was already in full gear.
By the time the world woke up, it was too late for millions.
Some warnings were printed in plain sight.
