Finland versus Britain: The alliance or competition targeting Biafra peoples’ natural resources through collusion with the Caliphate.

Since Finland arrested Biafra Republic Government in Exile Prime Minister - Simon Ekpa in November 2024 after a co-founder of Boko Haram and Nigeria’s Vice President - Kashim Shettima @KashimSM met with Finland President - Alex Stubb @alexstubb in a side meeting during a United Nations event in New York in September 2024, many of us suspected a foul play.

More recently, (16-18 March, 2026), we noted another suspicious coincidence. President Alex Stubb and Nigeria President Bola Tinubu @officialABAT were in London and visited 10 Downing Street. Reminiscent of then Nigeria’s President - Buhari and Kenyan President - Kenyatta visiting Boris Johnson at 10 Downing Street soon after Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was abducted in Kenya and renditioned to Nigeria in June 2021.

We are now learning that Finland is pursuing economic bilateral relationship with Nigeria focusing on trade, innovation, digital transformation, sustainable economic development, natural resources exploitation, and petrochemicals, according to media reports. The picture is getting clearer, the persecution of Mr Simon Ekpa in Finland appears to have been driven by pressures from Nigeria and potential economic inducement.

We have to remind Finland that the jihadists that control Nigeria have publicly mouthed that they are not interested in economic development. They have further stated that their priority is territorial control of Nigeria, after which they can talk about development.

So, if the government of Finland is interested in bilateral economic development with the caliphate, Finland should first admit the jihadist herders to their frozen Finnish lands, get the herders some winter jackets and allow them to crisscross Finland communities, streets, and highways with cattle. And as a bonus, allow the herders to rape Finnish women. If these are not acceptable to the Finnish people, it is morally reprehensible to wish same on Biafrans, even if it is dressed as bilateral relationship with Nigeria.

#Biafran Nationalist #SimonEkpa Faces Political Prosecution

I recently returned from #Finland, where I monitored a significant case in my capacity as an independent observer. I am now sharing my findings with members of #Congress and the #American public.

Simon Ekpa, an advocate for self-determination of the #Igbo region of #Nigeria known as #Biafra and a Finnish national, seeks appeal of his conviction in a #Finnish court on terrorism allegations that veteran U.S. counter-terrorism prosecutors and investigators say would be thrown as #hearsay in a U.S. court. They noted that the “evidence” of Ekpa’s guilt was purely #circumstantial and would never survive in an American court; however, Finland’s lack of free-speech protections and lower Finnish standards produced a conviction #American justice would not allow.

The trial court failed to produce direct and immediate evidence as to Ekpa's personal involvement providing weapons to those fighting for #Biafran independence.

No #American court would prosecute #Ekpa for what would be treated as #1stAmendment issues.

On March 26, 2025, Biafra Republic Government in Exile Acting Prime Minister (APM) Ogechuwku Nkere and Minister of Trade and Industry O'George Chima met with United States Congressman Gregory Meeks (D-NY), Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC) and former Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC). APM Nkere previously met Congressman Meeks on February 25, 2025.

During the engagement, APM Nkere and Minister Chima had the opportunity to provide an informational briefing to Congressman Meeks about Biafra and the activities of the BRGIE, including the December 2nd, 2024 declaration of independence in Finland and the self-referendum. Congressman Meeks has significant influence over the foreign policy of the U.S. Congress. For example, the Chair and Ranking member of HFAC have the authority to block or approve U.S. arms sales to foreign governments.

The BRGIE thanks its lobbying firm Moran Global Strategies for their facilitation of the
meeting, and looks forward to having many more direct engagements with senior U.S. officials.
