@KitexKite depends on the game for me. if its a nonlinear game where you can progress outside of that boss fight (making it easier), then no. if you have to fight that boss to progress then yes it should be not as hard. from an enjoyment perspective tho I would prefer engagement.
@Malcolm_apa@HelmBreaker21 the only detachment to core game mechanics is level traversal. all the combat mechanics are usually in play. and in some games level traversal is tied to a combat mechanic-like grappling. I dont really get this argument.
@ramen_ecchiraku@TheMurderHobo@The_Zubaz they arent hard tho just tedious. you having to kill 1 morbillion enemies isnt hard it just takes time. if the enemies themselves were hard/tricky like SOTE (divine bird warrior, dancing lion warrior, inquisitors, etc) I could understand that take.
@46nekonyaaa@tabinekosun@Mashiro_yuh I agree and I hope an actual resolution can be made from all this discourse. im just afraid it'll divide people further because those from both extremes are so vocal.
thank you for the conversations, but I need to go to bed as its 6:00am and I have work 😭❤️
have a good day
@46nekonyaaa@tabinekosun@Mashiro_yuh obviously there are other cases of piracy, but like I said, historically steam, Netflix, and Spotify all exist because they wanted to stop piracy and it worked. Just like jails and laws help prevent murder. they are both crimes but require different solutions.
@46nekonyaaa@tabinekosun@Mashiro_yuh but with piracy, just laws and regulations arent enough. piracy is different from murder in that its not a case where people do it for fun, but because the only other options are not being able to purchase it, or spending 20x the price to purchase it, which they can afford.
@46nekonyaaa@tabinekosun@Mashiro_yuh I understand. I also find that kind of act deplorable. however, that isnt the case for most pirates. most pirates are not vocal at all and simply want to enjoy the media they like but cannot. the 10% of pirates who say that are just heard rather than the 90% who make no statement
@46nekonyaaa@tabinekosun@Mashiro_yuh you can either do something to stop piracy, or you can just complain that it exists. complaining does not solve the issue and making excuses does not solve the issue. the solution is taking what worked for others like steam, Netflix, Spotify, etc, and adopting their methods.
@46nekonyaaa@tabinekosun@Mashiro_yuh I dont hold it against you to be scared because you have experienced issues in the past. the point is just because of that, you are not adopting the modern standards of distributing content and complaining that people pirate, but they dont have access at reasonable costs.
@ryorekuiemu@BipolarDuckie steam, netflix, and Spotify are proof that it is 90%. before these services the most convenient way to access these media's were via piracy. once these services emerged, piracy dwindled substantially. of course, piracy will always exist, but it can be largely mitigated.
@ExWHYZ_Shunx2@NM_Jr77@V9Hn0H9b7NSLtWs@ZNg5g@shoes_god if you dont want to do anything thats fine. but dont complain that piracy exists when you are not putting in an effort to stop it. like is aid, steam was created to stop piracy, and it worked. Netflix too, Spotify too. we have done this. we have tapped into these market already.
@ExWHYZ_Shunx2@NM_Jr77@V9Hn0H9b7NSLtWs@ZNg5g@shoes_god stuff like buying the rights and distributing would be too much money to be worth it. if Japan wanted to set up a system like steam they would already have the rights, and would only need to spend on distributing.
@ExWHYZ_Shunx2@NM_Jr77@V9Hn0H9b7NSLtWs@ZNg5g@shoes_god if a safe and convenient alternative is provided, people will start using that because piracy is not safe and convenient. the point is if you want to stop piracy you need to offer a service better than piracy. this is what steam, Spotify, Netflix, and crunchyroll did.
@ExWHYZ_Shunx2@NM_Jr77@V9Hn0H9b7NSLtWs@ZNg5g@shoes_god the goal of expansion to to tap into a market where people are not used to convenient ways to access Japanese content. piracy is not easy and simple. it requires lots of research. its becoming easier because people have no alternative and so piracy is cultivated.
