Dr Peter Eze @PMEze1 is developing a cyanophage-based formulation to help address the pressing issue of harmful algal blooms threatening the largest lake in the British isles - Lough Neagh. Take a look at his poster A48.

Yuyang (A35) has been using an ionic liquid called CAGE to improve intradermal delivery of Cutibacterium acnes phages for #acne treatment. As a bonus, CAGE has an antibacterial effect on its own, so CAGE‘d phages could prove to be an effective synergistic anti-acne combination.
Shauna @shaunammurray is investigating freeze- and spray-dried phages for production of pharmaceutical formulations such as inhalation powders and vaginal ring inserts. Find her poster at the stand A34.
Finally, we are happy to have Emmet @the_phagemage with us as well. While he is not presenting this time, he is more than happy to chat about his bioinformatics exploration of prophages and development of phage-host interaction networks.

Did you know, many #cancer survivors are being financially discriminated against when it comes to accessing services like loans, mortgages, health and travel insurance?
A new study has highlighted the extent of the problem and is calling for the #RightToBeForgotten to be introduced into legislation.
"It is disgraceful that significant numbers of cancer survivors continue to be discriminated against financially.
"While the current cost of living crisis is hard for everyone, it is so much worse for cancer survivors. We need to bring in legislation to protect our patients who are living beyond their cancer as a matter of urgency.” - @QUBCancerProf
