See, this is one of the problems with Hollywood. They portray witchcraft, occult practices, demonic rituals, and the speaking of certain words and incantations as entertainment, but spiritual matters are not something to play with. Just because you are acting in a movie does not mean you should treat every practice being portrayed as harmless. And if you believe these things have spiritual consequences, why would you want to invite them into your life for entertainment? If you believe the devil is real, you cannot treat spiritual warfare like a game. Now imagine engaging in these practices in real life, bringing them into your home, and exposing yourself and your family to things that go against your faith. This is why I tell people to stay away from witchcraft, occult practices, tarot card readings, psychics, mediums, séances, witchcraft rituals, warlock practices, spirit worship, and horoscopes. The Bible warns against divination and seeking spiritual guidance through these practices. Leviticus 19:31 warns against turning to mediums and spiritists, and Deuteronomy 18:10–12 speaks against divination, sorcery, and consulting the dead. And let me make something else clear: you should be careful about what you allow to influence your mind and spirit. Instead of seeking guidance from horoscopes, psychics, or occult practices, seek wisdom from God and His Word. The Bible tells us in Joshua 1:8, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night.” It also says in Psalm 1:2 that the blessed person delights in the law of the Lord and meditates on His law day and night. That is what we should be filling our minds with: the Word of God, His truth, His wisdom, and His instructions. I am not telling people this to spread fear; I am telling you to take your spiritual life seriously. Spiritual warfare is not a game, and your spiritual walk is not something to take lightly. Stop looking to the world and occult practices for answers when you can turn to God and His Word. Meditate on Scripture, pray, exercise discernment, and put on the whole armor of God. Ephesians 6:11 tells us to put on the whole armor of God so that we can stand against the schemes of the devil. Protect your faith, be mindful of what you entertain, and remember that the Word of God should be your foundation—not witchcraft, not divination, and not the occult.
