@PoPville@ScottRobertsDC@bloomingdame I love the Dulo Street artist. Any idea who’s behind it? Here’s one at first and Seton across from redhead, in the alley on First and Randolph, and one next to Big Bear that looks like it was taken down recently
@DCDPW@MayorBowser@ANC5E@CMZParker5 we have been very patient, but it has been 3 weeks & 1 day since our trash has been collected on the unit block of Randolph Place NW. rats are everywhere. When can we expect collection?
@CMZParker5@DCDPW Thank you. I have tried unsuccessfully for 2 days to create a 311 request. I am getting error messages in the app & I called 311 yesterday, I was put on hold for over 15 minutes before giving up. Here are photos 60 Randolph Pl NW No trash pickup since Jan 21.
India’s relationship with Russia is deep & politically foundational. Expecting a clean break was never realistic. What matters is direction: encouraging diversification & signaling that India’s future growth lie with a broader set of partners. That pivot matters.
The global trade order has shifted. Many countries, including India, were never going to negotiate a WTO-style U.S. FTA. What’s emerging instead are pragmatic, bespoke trade arrangements -closer to how most countries actually do trade today.
It’s worth remembering where U.S.–India trade started. Before the first Trump administration, a trade agreement with India - by any definition -was widely seen as unrealistic, given India’s high tariffs and non-tariff barriers. This deal reflects real movement from that baseline.
Congratulations to Prime Minister @NarendraModi ji and President @RealDonaldTrump, as well as to the people of India and the United States, on the landmark trade agreement. This reflects the power of two like-minded, fair-trading democracies working together for shared prosperity.
Grateful to PM @NarendraModi ji and President @realDonaldTrump for their visionary and decisive leadership, and strong commitment to strengthening India–U.S. ties.
This unlocks the power of two large democracies working together for the shared prosperity of their people. Both India and US are natural allies and our partnership will co-create technologies, co-develop solutions, and work together for peace, growth, and a brighter future for India and US.
This agreement unlocks unprecedented opportunities for farmers, MSMEs, entrepreneurs, and skilled workers to Make in India for the world, Design in India for the world, and Innovate in India for the world. It will help India get technology from the US.
It is not just a trade deal - it is a historic turning point that will reshape India–U.S. relations and accelerate our journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047. 🇮🇳🇺🇸

Credit is due to President Trump and Prime Minister Modi for setting the direction, and to negotiators like Amb. @jamiesongreer and their teams at @USTradeRep who did the hard work to get this done. This is what deliberate trade policy looks like.

But the bigger story is democratic alignment. Two major democracies worked through differences and chose economic cooperation over stalemate. That doesn’t happen by accident — it takes leadership and persistence.

The details matter. Reducing reciprocal tariffs from 25% to 18% is not symbolic — it lowers real costs, reduces friction, and sends a clear signal to businesses that both governments are serious about moving trade forward.

Today’s U.S.–India trade deal announcement is a meaningful moment for a relationship that truly matters. Like any strong partnership, we’ve had ups and downs — but we’ve consistently chosen dialogue, recalibration, and progress. 🇺🇸🇮🇳

Wonderful to speak with my dear friend President Trump today. Delighted that Made in India products will now have a reduced tariff of 18%. Big thanks to President Trump on behalf of the 1.4 billion people of India for this wonderful announcement.
When two large economies and the world’s largest democracies work together, it benefits our people and unlocks immense opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.
President Trump’s leadership is vital for global peace, stability, and prosperity. India fully supports his efforts for peace.
I look forward to working closely with him to take our partnership to unprecedented heights.

@FreeTradeBryan Unless, you count, of course, countries like China and India, who are leapfrogging the US and innovation and areas like Fintech, solar, AI and electronic vehicles.
@FreeTradeBryan Again, if you were to chart the number of jobs that we had lost in American manufacturing after NAFTA this would be a 45 degree line down
