Day 17 of road to $10M w/ ECOM
Sales: £149
Profit: -£40
Just been losing money with this product - although I have been testing different stuff.
Learnt a lot from this product test, mainly that you should never trust good ROAS too early.
I launched the video ad from the editor at around midday, and this seems to be getting most of the spend.
Will let it get tomorrow as another day of full spend, and based on how tomorrow goes will decide if I cut or not.
This is my longest ever product test, and I really do feel like I gave it my best effort in terms of trying different things.
Tried longer form VSLs, shorter video ads, different offers, different landing pages, tested different campaign setups, markets.
Will transfer everything I've learnt over into my next product test (if tomorrow doesn't go to plan that is).
For any new products, I will try my best to stay within the same niche/target the same persona and take a branded approach. I don't want to start from complete scratch.
Anyways, grateful for everything so far, and will continue to put the work in. Can't expect the journey to be easy.

Sales: £0
Profit: -£40
Campaign off.
Looking for a new product.
Conveniently the factory that was creating the product that I was running has shut down.
Timing is immaculate.
Sign to find a new product and go harder lol
See ya tomororw with a new product test launched hopefully.
Day 16 of road to $10M w/ ECOM
Sales: £112
Profit: -£15
Making improvements.
Turned off ads that were getting high spend with high CPC and low ATCs.
A couple ads are getting good ROAS so hopeful that these will perform well tomorrow.
Editor will hopefully have ads ready tomorrow. At the moment super slow turn around time, so this is something to work on.
Interested to see tomorrow's results.
Tomorrow will be a chill day. Will mostly look over the ads and make educated decisions based on the data.
Will think about writing up high intent scripts to get some ads/VSLs out.
I haven't tested VSL format Meta ads, so this could be an area for improvement.
As always trying my best to test new things. Throwing things at the wall until something sticks.
Day 15 of road to $10M w/ ECOM
Sales: £56
Profit: -£43
New offer, ads, landing page, product page didn’t get much spend…
Turned off all adsets other than this new angle. Got a singular sale with it with low spend so this is a good sign.
Also sent a video script to an editor, so will be nice to start testing video ads soon too.
Goal is to test as much as possible before moving on from this product, ideally I don’t move on.
These losses are going to add up into wins. There’s no light without dark!
Day 14 of road to $10M w/ ECOM
Sales: £82
Profit: -£89
Ouch... over -100% net profit margin ahah.
Not too stressed. Took the whole day today to launch new angle, new offer, new product page, and new advertorial.
I've been banging on, TEST TEST TEST. And that is exactly what I've been doing.
The more I test, the higher likely that this will work.
Not too worried about this loss though as I've completely switched everything up - it's either gonna work, or it's not.
As long as I put some effort in and try to improve I count that as a win.
Also sent a script to an editor, will see what their work is like, and from there I'll plan accordingly.
Very productive day, so although I lost, I'm content with today's results.
Taking the challenge of ecom on bit by bit.
Day 13 of road to $10M w/ ECOM
Sales: £179
Profit: -£6
Nice to lost a bit less money lol
Took some time today to put together new angle and offer I'm going with.
Revamped the product photos, and need to finish off the rest of the pdp.
Landing pages also need to be built so those are on the agenda for tomorrow.
Will keep ads running - not too worried about the level of money I'm losing atm.
Focusing on inputting as much as possible and I can reap the rewards later.
Day 12 of road to $10M w/ ECOM
Sales: £124
Profit: -£53
Another unprofitable day - but not worried.
Took some time to really get to grips with exactly how I'm going to take this product to another level.
Going to double down on this product and really make the most of it. Will build a real brand around this.
At the moment the product is on a general store, but tomorrow will put together a branded store that really plays to the target customer's emotions and can niche target.
I have also put together a killer offer that I will deploy on this product once the full rebrand is done.
Also found someone who can do my video ads for me which is going to make testing ads way smoother.
Was super busy with school work today so didn't get much chance to actually action — was more of a scheming day.
Excited for what this product holds and can't wait to launch these changes.
Going to let the current ads with the current offer run for now as the ads without the landing page seem to be getting atcs and sales which is cool. Otherwise, nothing much has changed.
Gotta stay optimistic and keep testing testing testing. Grateful to god for everything I've achieved so far.
See you guys tomorrow 👋
Day 11 of road to $10M w/ ECOM
Sales: £103
Profit: -£96
Horrible day. Worst day yet.
Main thing I’m trying to do at the moment is test test test.
Launched 2 new adsets. One is sending customers straight to product page. Other is ads with new angles.
Will be interesting to see how no advertorial performs vs with advertorial.
Been thinking of new offers I could launch for this product and will start applying the concepts tomorrow.
New offers + new advertorial angle.
It has now been 11 days since I’ve launched this product and results are still shaky. Don’t want to move on - so maybe will launch a new product to run alongside this one.
Going to start looking for e.ditors and build out a system for ads testing as it seems like that is going to be the best long term play. Will be interesting to see how it goes.
In this for the long run and improving 1% every single day. I’ve realised: a shitty day of sales doesn’t faze me, but low effort days do.
God did 🙏
Day 10 of road to $10M w/ ECOM
Sales: £379
Profit: £150
Ads picked back up lol. The results are fluctuating A LOT.
France CBO ran at an extremely profitable CPA today which is a great sign.
Age targeted CBO ran at a profitable CPA but barely which isn't great.
Not very hopeful for tomorrow's results mainly due to the fact that the CPA just does not want to sit still.
This fluctuation is probably because of the ads, so main goal for tomorrow is to launch more ads.
If tomorrow gets decent results will start bumping budgets. Will be fun to see how it goes.
See you guys tomorrow 🤝
@shauneng@awngkuharis Having the same issue, but people have been saying people that don’t purchase on main ad will be retargeted with other ads in the same CBO.
Should you/do you ever cut a top spending ad?
Day 9 of road to $10M w/ ECOM
Sales: £146
Profit: -£41
Ads are struggling.
France campaign just got it's first sale in the last hour of the day and now just below breakeven.
Age targeted adset isn't getting much spend so will turn off all adsets except that one for tomorrow to force some spend on it.
Making this drastic change as it has been over a week now of running this product and with the amount of spend it really should be profitable by now.
Will try it for a couple days and see how it performs - really want to test this.
May even try turning off the top spender at some point as it's ROAS in comparison to other ads is horrendous.
But let's see - this is a game of testing. The more I test different tweaks, the higher the chances of something sticking.
If you read this far, I appreciate you 🙏
