She is right. Where are the parents?
My kids can dislike me all they want, but I will still randomly monitor their internet browsing — yes, including my 16-year-old. 😂 I randomly read WhatsApp chats too. No one’s phone has a password in our home because Mom’s inspections are very random.
They only use their phones over weekends, and if their grades drop that term, phone privileges are gone until the school holidays.
My 16-year-old is the only one allowed to go to the mall without a chaperone. The younger ones are always with a grown-up I know and approve of, or they’re with me.
And beyond the rules, I am present.
We eat dinner together every night.
We go to church together every Sunday.
We talk to each other and treat each other with respect.
We play games. We laugh. We have fun.
Our home is my children’s safe space. That’s why we hardly have guests — I want my children to enjoy being home, to feel safe there, and to know that home is their refuge.
No one screams at anyone in our home because all our ears work perfectly well. 😂 I don’t need to shout at my children to be heard. I speak to them like human beings, and they listen.
Bullying is not tolerated — not at home and not outside.
I teach them to be kind, respectful and polite, especially towards others and their elders.
Old-school parenting still works.
Boundaries. Supervision. Accountability. Respect. Communication. Presence.
And most importantly, knowing what our children are doing, who they are talking to and what they are being exposed to.
Parenting isn’t about being your child’s best friend. It’s about keeping them safe, even when they don’t understand why the rules exist.
My children may roll their eyes at me today, but I’ll happily take that over finding out too late that I wasn’t paying attention. 🙏🏽❤️

The enemy doesn't know what to do with a joyful person.
Rejoice, I say to you again, REJOICE.
Joy is a weapon.
In fact, I've come to learn that the fruits of the Spirit are weapons. (Will talk about this in details soon).

There’s a lot that comes with growing up, you really get to see that life is not always roses and cream. Life is constantly overcoming obstacles, you need to fight for your position because no one will do it for you.
Good evening ladies!
This girl bought an iPhone. When her father saw it, he asked her "what was the 1st thing you did after buying the phone"?
She said "I put an anti-scratch sticker and bought a cover for the phone".
Did someone force you to do so? She said "No".
Her father asked her “did you think it was an insult to the manufacturer?" She said "No that it was recommended that a cover be used on the phone".
Did you cover it because it was cheap and ugly?
"No daddy, actually I covered it because I did not want any damage to it or what would devalue the phone".
"When you put the cover on, did it reduce the iPhone’s beauty?"
"Daddy I think it looks better and worth it for the protection it gives to my new iPhone".
The father looked lovingly at his daughter and said, “if I had asked you to cover your body which is much more precious than your iphone, would you have readily agreed?".
She was mute . . . .
Indecent dressing and exposure of your body reduces your value and respect.
