We and @NAACP_LDF went to court yesterday to hold the State accountable for its failure to provide the necessary funding to @BaltCitySchools
For more than a decade, Maryland has violated court orders, from the Bradford v. Maryland State Board of Education case, that require sufficient funding to ensure that Baltimore City students have access to the quality education they deserve. #FundOurSchools. @NAACP_LDF

We & @NAACP_LDF returned to court today to hold the State accountable for its failure to provide the necessary funding to both provide a quality education and to address the abysmal physical conditions of school facilities that disrupt students’ ability to learn in Baltimore City
Over time, Baltimore City students have been deprived of over $2 billion in constitutionally required funding.
This has affect generations of children in Baltimore City schools, most of whom are Black and Brown and whose families live in poverty. #FundOurSchools
