By noon on July 1st there isn’t much left of Heth’s Division. While Heth was successful in pushing Buford’s two Brigades of cavalry aside, they took some early losses that left them I’ll prepared to face I Corps. Pender is having second thoughts. #wargame

@av8r97 Sir, if you’re taking recommendations, I’d also add Huntington’s Clash of Civilizations. It’s very dated (90s), and the author has fallen out of popularity, but it’s very thought provoking.

@salisbot @annaesby I can only recommend avoiding major cities. The south is only truly experienced off the beaten path. Big towns like Charlotte, Atlanta, Houston etc are more or less like any other big town in America. Take the backroads and talk to people.
