@yochaigal1 hi, I just replied to a comment on itch about the spreads uploads being crossed — here’s a fresh screenshot to show I’m not just making this up.
Look, the real pro-life political position would be to tell the two major presidential candidates to take a hike; and then it would be to work toward dismantling the conditions under which we are given such abysmal candidates.
Some of those I interviewed for Solo Planet told me parents view them with suspicion and assumed they couldn't know anything about kids without the firsthand experience of parenting. Yet we don't require procreation to become a teacher.
@ninawithnoalias@ohmwu OTOH, as an amusing thought exercise, I occasionally imagine incongruent-tone phrases like
“oyasumi shitamae” - “Good night [and that’s an order].”
@ninawithnoalias@ohmwu I know, right?
Good point about it being probably archaic!
I’d be afraid to say that over “[negative] te/de kudasai”, lest I come across as *extremely* rude.
@cavesofqud Would it be feasible to update the DRM-free downloads from Humble Store purchases? It looks like it's 2+ years old and there have been... something like 150 updates since then?

@Foil_Island@Rimmy_Downunder There are also lot of good PC ports republished by Netflix.
And some games emulating the worst of freemium but without the MTX or ads.
“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.
"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

Long time followers know I'm a huge fan of @TidesHistory and also believe the Bible to be a valid and correct historic account. So it was with mingled excitement and trepidation I saw Wyman had two episodes on Late Bronze/Iron Age Israel and Judah.
Here I'll do a review of them!
@KyleSchumann08 @siriusandlucy @secularprolife The original URL starting with a ~ indicates that it’s at the level of a professor, student, campus club, etc. with web hosting.
These days it’s more common for that sort of thing to be namespaced as a subdomain instead of a ~username path.
I had a similar URL as a student.
@KyleSchumann08 @siriusandlucy @secularprolife I don’t believe they were saying the document should be ignored, just that it doesn’t really earn the description “Princeton has this document that says…”
Because — while it’s by someone with access to host a website on that domain — it’s not really “By” the university itself.
@RiotMary9811@shebringsjoy ...and then, batter poured -- pretend I said Cake above -- I handle the oven part.
The child could boast about being an awesome baker, but I prepared everything in advance and finished the bake post-mixing.
God puts good works in our paths. We could boast about them, but...
@RiotMary9811@shebringsjoy I like to think of the Faith vs Works issue similarly:
Suppose I help my child bake some cookies. I hand her a series of pre-measured ingredients to pour in a bowl and then stir. The child can do that just fine, but it's within her power to instead throw the flour at a cat.
