@BrianRoemmele Not only the perfect angle but also perfect reflection eg no absorption.
And how does this light get there in the first place? If it enters from outside it has an angle and will leave again. If it is made inside, it will hit whatever made it after the first reflection.
@patrickc@Nicolas_Colin I mean that whole article is a shit show. One example is hardly a crackdown, and that person won on appeal! "Crime addled capital" - yes, very objective.
@ilEnigma46@tomhfh If it takes so long to cool, then it must take as long to heat up, in which case a heat wave is not of that much concern to you as your house is already averaging out the heat over a long period?
@ilEnigma46@tomhfh That is very odd. Maybe your house needs more cross ventilation? Exchanging hot inside air for cool outside air makes a big difference.
Attached is my house a couple of nights ago losing 4 degrees in about 5 hours once Windows opened in the pm and 2 degrees from opening in am
@ilEnigma46@tomhfh Actually the cross ventilation is all about ensuring you can reduce the temperature at night, which helps for sleep and to mitigate the heat of the day.
@tomhfh This is just the same as ensuring you insulate properly rather than put a fire in every room. Practically speaking no in stops you from adding AC, it's just developers will always avoid that extra cost if possible.
@North_Lites@tomhfh All supermarkets have air conditioning.
They box the fridges in so they don't have to cool everything to fridge temperature and thus save money.
@kevins34205929@tomhfh How has energy efficiency affected productivity? 10% of the economy is financial services, how is the productivity of that affected by energy efficiency?
@tomhfh Words are very important in law, I just can't see how you can convict someone when no one in the room understands both sides of the conversation, I don't think AI translation is determinative enough.
@pezz65848@TomTugendhat Russia will respond to us defending our country in our country with a nuclear strike?
Two can play at that game. Limited nuclear retaliatory strike on the Kremlin sounds good to me.
